Stopped by to try and grab a drink. Bar seating was taken over, by staff members wearing work clothes, so that was not an option. 3/4 of the tables were open, so we went to the host stand to see about getting a seat. We were told that other than the bar, any other seating was for food service only.

I fully understand maximizing tables for bigger checks. That being said, when the bar is full with mostly staff, and the tables are more than 50% available, turning business away for this reason is rude, silly, lazy, and bad for business. Source: someone who would have spent money there and did not. Also, I run restaurants for a living.

Update: thanks for the response. I’m not here to discuss where I work. The fact is I’ve had better service at comparable restaurants, and even chains, and dive bars. Your sarcastic response was about as warm and receptive as your staff was when I visited. I suppose that explains the general malaise everyone seemed to have. Goodluck
