I've eaten at Little B's a few times. Up until last 2 trips, I'd have given it 4 or 5 stars. The food has always been great, the service has always been a little hit or miss. The 2nd last time I went in, the sodas were flat, which was a few months ago. This most recent trip into Tarrytown, we went in. They said half hour wait. An hour later, they said another 10 to 15 minutes. Sure, it happens, wasn't mad, but my group was waiting out in the cold, hungry. Then when we go in, it took 10 minutes or so to get water and drink orders. Sodas still flat, they took them back, came back saying they fixed the soda machine. New sodas, still flat. Flagged down waitress to get sodas taken away and off bill. Service was slow but food was good like usual. Then when we finished eating, we asked for the bill, 15 minutes later we see the waitress talking to someone at the bar, just having a conversation, we finally just sent one of our group up to remind her we needed the bills. They brought the check, we tried to just hand back check with the credit card, she'd walked away. Same thing again, finally sent someone from our group up, like, "Hey, we've been in here for a long time, we need to go, can you just run the cards?" Then they misplaced one of the 2 credit cards in there and freaked us out that they couldn't find it.
TLDR; the food is very good, the prices are reasonable, but if you're short on time or patience, maybe find somewhere else to eat. And BYOS (bring your own soda lol). Will probably just go somewhere else next time we're...
Read moreWon’t be back even though I like the food. After seeing a show at the Music Hall, planned to go to Little B’s for dinner. Of course it was busy, so I gave my name and number and expected at 45 minute wait. After waiting directly across the street the entire time, I get a half a ring on my phone. Never had time to see who called it ended so fast. Apparently that was supposed to be my cue so we walked across the street to discover, they gave our table away because I didn’t call back after one ring. The girl was rude about it too. I was furious because there were two open tables and she wasn’t in the least bit attempting to make it right. It was over so move along, no soup for you! I left because I was going to explode and finally decided to call and ask for the manager. She was still sassy and trying to defend herself! Finally I spoke with the manager who said they hold the table for 15 minutes then admitted yes they only give one ring and you should call back. When I ask if this was their policy, why don’t they say so you there is no misunderstanding he said he will speak to her after the shift. Made no attempt to say come back and we will seat you next, nothing but hey we are busy. Well that’s great that you are busy but instead of Little b’s being the go to spot when at the music hall, it will “b” a cold day in hell before...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Little B’s in Tarrytown was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others. After spending $85 (including a $15 tip) for a meal, we left hungry and frustrated.
We ordered 4 cheeseburger sliders for our kids to share—only 2 arrived, and each had one tiny, overly salty burger. Both our toddler and 2-year-old spit them out, complaining of how salty they were.
Then came the turkey apple brie panini. It was so overwhelmingly salty that it was impossible to eat, and the turkey smelled off—definitely not fresh. The crab cake slider was a joke—filled with a mushy, tuna-salad-like substance that tasted nothing like crab. Absolutely inedible. And the chicken slider was burnt to the point of having the texture of a rubber band.
To top it off, we were told that iced tea was freshly brewed in-house and would take 30 minutes. We ended up just drinking water.
This was, hands down, one of the most disappointing meals we've had in years. I have never felt so ripped off or dissatisfied with a restaurant. Never going back—and I highly advise others to...
