Paddles Restaurant & Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Town of Lake George

We sat outside today for lunch. The food was very good, the service was very good, and the four of us received our food in a timely manner. Our only issue is when we received the bill, which did not include the food order or the individual amount, the waiter included his tip on the bill (20%) and had already ran our two cards without our signatures. I did approach him and stated that I was not going to change or contest the bill, but I did not approve of his charging his tip on our bill. He informed me that he has every right to do it, and I disagreed. Not the way to run a restaurant business. The pleasant, polite waiter changed his attitude very quickly. We now know why out of all the restaurants this one wasn’t packed it was empty!! Casual dress with alternative music friendly atmosphere..healthy choices & Food was good But was disappointed to be charged extra for condiments…nickeled & dime’d.. brought us too &100 bucks for lunch..ex; we got the burger but was charged $1 extra for mayonaise then extra up charged for advertised having gluten free!! $5 for a small coffee tho we asked for the biggest they had never offered a refill.. at that price should be. This experience left us with a very bad taste. We were a huge party and we did ask for separate tables with seating outside but was refused. Service was very slow, we were not greeted with the same enthusiasm as other patrons at all. Our check was almost $700.00, for food with no taste, steak with no steak sauce, teeny tiny cups of coffee, that the server had to be asked to refill. Eggs ordered over hard had to be sent back. An overall huge disappointment for a tourist experience in a tourist village. We would have gotten McDonald's had we known this was what we would get. Really wanted to support locals, but very very...
