LG Tie Dye Lab — Attraction in Town of Lake George

Found this place during a search for what to do in Lake George for kids. Kids were excited to try it out. Arrived at opening, only to find the place closed. Talked to the parking lot attendant who stated that the place would open by 1pm simce he knew a few group parties were booked. Came back at 1pm to find it open with no lines.

Even though we had a large group, about 11 people, and they took us right in. The woman working in the shop was very patient, especially working with the kids, whose age range was from 3 to 10, and very knowledgeable. She helped the kids and explained which sizes were a best fit for them.

Apparently, the place has expanded from last year, with the old area being the Tie Dye Lab and the newer area the retail location. Kids and adults had a blast, making their unique, one of a kind shirts. It is expensive although a T-shirt starts in the $25 range and goes up in price with different items. Add one to include iron on designs, and patches can add to the total.

Overall, a great experience, and the kids are already asking if they can come back next year and do it...

We were over at fire and ice and they suggested for us to check out the Tie Dye Lab and it did not disappoint! Great selection of things to tie dye and many patterns to choose from. We were educated beforehand on the process and then off we went to our table to dye! Lots of colors to use that were neatly aligned and labeled and we were given a color board so we can see what the colors would look like. Once done, we just had to wait a few minutes for the rest of the process to be done and then we were off (not before given more instructions on what to do when we got home!). Have kids and are worried about it being messy? Don’t worry about it! Smocks and gloves are provided and we didn’t get any dye on us. The store was brightly colored and clean! We are local to the Queensbury area and love to check out and support small business from here all the way up to my hometown in Bolton Landing. Today two of my daughters (7 and 12 years old) and I checked out the Tie Dye Lab and it was a fun experience! The owner was so friendly and helpful. The venue was bright, fun and inviting! We had a great time and unique experience different from the tie dye that we often do at home. There were so many fun designs to choose from and over 40 colors to use. We will definitely be back with the whole family to create more fun designs and support this creative space! Thank you for bringing something new and different...
