Britt's Pizza — Restaurant in Treasure Island

What a surprisingly yummy place we stumbled upon from the beach!! Parking is less than ideal, but once you get in, you're in for a treat. The service was so great. Tina, our server, was happy, cute and attentive. Clearly loves her job, which is comforting. She checked on us many times, gave us drinks before we had to ask, and offered her opinion on dishes, which worked out perfectly. We had the hummus appetizer and let me tell you...it's a must get for every visit and can be a main dish for me. It is served with a small salad and the best pita bread I've ever had. The points were crispy and the ends were soft. We also ordered the Margharita pizza and the HUGE Grilled Chicken Cesar Wrap. The pizza was good but we wanted way more basil on it. Just a personal preference as the pizza was cooked to perfection. Their pizza crust and pita bread are absolutely superior to all others I have had. We wanted to get an order of pita to take home (major fail on our part). I have to admit the absolute best was the chicken Cesar pita wrap. Tina said it takes 3 people to make it bc it takes 3 stages to make it! The blackening spice on the chicken was perfect. The lettuce was cold and crispy. And again the pita was warm, fluffy and melted in my mouth. Took 2 of us 2 days to eat it, but totally worth it. We tried to order Uber eats the next day bc we loved it all so much. First time in treasure island & of course like any tourist mistake didn’t ask a local on places to eat so we ventured into this mess of place. When we walked in the lady at the front bar sat us right away and our waitress came and took our food order very promptly. We noticed that some of the kitchen items were in dining area and just thought that maybe they were renovating in the back. We ordered some apps and while sitting there finishing the dough bites and had ordered our main courses. The waitress brought it out in a timely fashion and what appeared to be appetizing food quickly changed! Right behind their shutters lived (what I really hoped wasn’t) cockroaches. At first it was two and I caught both of them, the waitress came over & went to ask how everything was going but I cut her off and asked for the manager. She went to ask if it was something she could help with but I just told her I wanted to speak with a manager. While waiting we looked around to see if we could spot anymore and sure enough, under the pizza stand for the pre-made slices there were a couple. The girl that sat us in the beginning turned out be the manager, came over and asked if she could help && I just told her “you have a big problem...... you have cockroaches” showed her the two I caught and the ones crawling on the window ledge helped prove it... she was very nice & gave us the food for free but every time we drive past it I cringe because there is always...

A mixed bag for us, initially we were told they were understaffed so things might take a bit longer than usual, we’re easy going so more than happy with that. The entertainment was good, a solo guitarist playing a medley of different tunes. Service was a little confused, we asked for 3 checks as we were splitting the bill, it felt like we were already being a nuisance so we ordered our pizza and drinks quickly. A little while later a cheesesteak sub arrived instead of a pizza - no big deal so back it went, then another pizza arrived in small rather than medium, no big deal they offered to make another small for us to make up for the mistake. By this time the rest of the table had started to eat as we didn’t want their pizza to go cold. By the time our correct order arrived it was close on an hour after we arrived and everyone else had finished their food so we asked for it to go, along with a tub a marinara sauce. The sauce arrived with no lid 🙈 we asked again twice for the lid but it never arrived. The check then arrived and was not split 3 ways as we had asked but we felt that fed up with waiting all the time we just paid, let our disappointment be know, tipped 20% because we’re not awful people and it’s not the kitchens fault! and left.
