Red Ribbon Bakeshop — Restaurant in Tukwila

I was in town for the weekend, I had come up from Eugene OR to spend some time with my family that live here in Washington. My sister in law's brother wanted to make a quick trip to Red Ribbon for a cake and a couple of desserts. I walked into the store and the employees were very friendly! We went mid-day and the shelves still seemed pretty full, there was a pretty long line when I went so I was surprised as you usually don't see people restocking. The food tasted amazing! Especially the Mocha Rectangular Cake. As I was checking out the employee greeted me with a smile and made sure I was able to get everything we needed. Rarely go to this bakery. Passed by to check their items. Got 6 assorted mamons and asked for a plastic bag. Lady said I have to use basket. Used the basket and added additional items. Paid then done. I asked for a carrying plastic bag. Eufina B, lady who assisted me, told me I already asked for a bag for the mamons; that’s where she put the mamons. If I want a bag, must pay 10 cents. I do not carry cash coz I use Apple Pay. I told Eufina B, you didn’t ask me if I needed a carrying plastic bag in the first place. She didn’t say anything, turned around and started doing tasks. I was carrying 3 full bags from my grocery shopping. Service was not acceptable! Not sure if there was a language barrier! I really love this place for their cakes and pastries! Especially since it's hard to find anything with ube dessert-wise. Only reason I took off a star is that they used to be more affordable and I understand with covid and inflation, things have increased in price but it's a lot more than I anticipated.

Just something I encountered last time I went: I didn't realize that they put away their cakes about 30 minutes to 1 hour before they close but I always make sure to get something from the case when I get to the mall versus waiting anywho.
