A friend and i went out to have a drink and catch up last night and ran into the most uncomfortable place i have ever been to. When you walk in noone greets you or sags hi welcome to cazs, they just stare at you as you walk in, with ackwars silence. We walked to the bar, ordered a drink, and sat down at a table. After sitting there awhile i notice a man sitting by himself in the corner recording me. We brushed it off and stayed to ourself. 5 mins go by and i notice this man in the corner recording me again. So i walk over there and ask the gentlemen why he would be recoding me, and how i felt uncomfortable with it and i just want to have a drink in peace. The man says sorry it makes me uncomfortable but he doesnt care and ge is goinf to record us. Well we finished our drinks and decided to leave. On the way out we tell the bouncer thats playing on the videogame thing at the bar what had happened, i felt that he should be aware of this man. The bouncers says the man is a regular and if we have a problem with him we can leave. So we did just that, we left and went to the bar couple shops down and had a great night. While i was at the other bar others were sharing with me their personal experiences with cazs and none were good stories. This is not a place for new people to come and enjoy. Its designed to please the regulars and forget everyone else....
Read moreIn a national touring band that has been to thousands of bars and establishments across the country. Last night my band and entire crew went to Caz’s Pub after our show in town that night. Everyone was having a good time not being rowdy or out of line in any shape or form. We were standing in a specific area in front of the bar for about 10 minutes. The room was full shoulder to shoulder to shoulder. The bartender yelled over to my group of a dozen people and said “if we didn’t move out of that area he was going to squirt us with water”. Beside the fact of not being able to relocate a dozen people because the venue was over capacity but also being dumbfounded by the childish threat the bartender just carried out. He carried out the threat and squirted water on all of us. For obvious reasons we were all angry and one of my friends confronted the bartender followed up by being put in a headlock and dragged out of the venue with excessive force by a bouncer. The lack of professionalism and class of this place was beyond explanation. We have all traveled the country for years in thousands of establishments in that same exact environment night after night due to the nature of our jobs...and this was by far the worst experience we have encountered. So A+ to Caz’s in Tulsa,OK for being the shittiest establishment to visit in the...
Read moreI used to come here a lot when I was a bar man in my younger days.
It's the one spot of the gentrified downtown that never changes, and I don't think ever will. They had 100 different beers before stocking beer like that was even a thing.
The manager is (was?) Awesome! The bartenders are crazy and a riot (super friendly and personable though).
This place is the quintessential dive bar. But not the neighborhood corner type where you walk in and all the locals stare at you suspiciously. This is the one where when you walk in, even for your first time, and they've known you your whole life. Hell, these bartenders changed your DIAPERS! They'll give you **, and won't kick you out for sending it back.
I once (years ago) saw a guy walk in on his 21st birthday and order a drink. He got a free Typhoon. (I don't recommend ordering the free version, you end up wet.)
The people, the dirty dark ambience, the straightish pool tables (forget the sticks though), the intimacy, and one of the few places left you can smoke indoors so you can wake up hungover, extra disgusted with yourself.
I think what it is about this place is that it and it's people are just effin genuine. This has been my favorite bar in Tulsa for 10 years, and I don't think that, or Caz's, will...
