Terrible experience here. The good elements of the club were the Queens, who interacted really nicely with my friend for her birthday—took song requests, asked us questions, were very funny. The problem was the person at the entrance that took our cover money. At one point, I was told that two of my friends were cut off and needed to drink water. I agreed with this, wasn’t combative at all, and relayed the message to my friends. They both started drinking water. Another friend of mine, who was sitting on her boyfriend’s lap, fell forward as they were playing around/dancing to a song. The same person came back and told me, again, that we all needed to leave as everyone was “swaying” in the club. The delivery of this was incredibly rude and demanding and so I responded with the energy I was given: acted rudely, and questioned why we had to leave. My friends also had this question, but eventually I was told if I didn’t leave, they would call the cops on me. I have never been kicked out of a club, and never experienced the threat of a cop being called. Ironically, after I left, all of my friends—who had a few short minutes before been such a problem—were all allowed to stay. This was absolutely an attempt at exerting some kind of power, was rude as hell, and none of us will...
Read moreWent to end my bachelorettes night here. More than half of the group requested we end the night here for the “vibes”. When we got off the party bus, the bouncer Justin (little pocket man) was up front telling me that half of my group can’t get in because we are too intoxicated and stumbling. We didn’t even make it to the door. I told him that we’ve had some to drink but no one is highly intoxicated. I told him that we are all wearing heels so yeah our feet is gonna hurt when we walk. One person from my group paid for the cover fee & he still denied entry to a couple girls in my group so who ever wanted to go still went in since it was paid. We weren’t there for more than 30mins until we decided to leave because the vibes were just off.
As we were leaving another staff apologized on Justin’s behavior and I spoke to the manager/supervisor. He was understanding but I know nothing will be done to Justin. I’m sure he can read this review though. I hope it gets brought up and he gets fired for his...
Read moreAs a new drag performer you never know what to expect when you branch out and try a new city to perform in. I live an hour and a half away and I can’t lie this bar feels so much like home for me. Lost my “home bar” here and thought I’d never get that home feeling. I’m glad I found it here. Shanel Sterling is such an AMAZING performer and not only that? She truly does just about everything she can to help performers be successful and she’s just down right a beautiful individual. Need an open talent to get you started in drag? Try something new? I highly suggest Club Majestic. And their open talent doesn’t stop at drag. Got a talent? They wanna see it. Their patrons are just as welcoming. The atmosphere they create just rubs off on you. They are so welcoming. My only critique? They aren’t closer to me so I can go...
