An Underwhelming Experience That Leaves More to Be Desired. Tulsa is known for its vibrant food scene, but Prime, a restaurant that touts a sophisticated atmosphere and a prime location, falls short of expectations. Despite its promising name and trendy appeal, the reality of the dining experience doesn’t quite measure up. I visited Prime three times, and after each visit, I hoped for improvement—unfortunately, the third time was no different. The first visit was for a dear friend's birthday celebration. With the festive nature of the event, I didn’t pay much attention to the food, but I wasn’t particularly impressed with what we were served. The second time, a friend visiting from Salt Lake City invited me to try Prime while I was showing some of my work in town. Again, the meal didn’t rise to the occasion, and I left feeling disappointed. The third and final visit, however, cemented my decision to not return. A close friend, who was having a rough day, suggested we dine at Prime. She wanted to go somewhere familiar and comforting, so I agreed. The restaurant was offering a "half-price" promotion, but unfortunately, the discount seemed to come with a corresponding reduction in quality. My friend ordered the risotto, which we had to return due to the overwhelming saltiness that made the dish inedible. As for my own choice, I opted for a dish that is here in the photos but proved to be lackluster in taste. The seasoning—primarily salt and pepper—was excessive and unbalanced, leaving the entire dish tasting the same. It was a disappointing experience, and I was left wondering why such a place still attracts patrons. On top of the uninspiring food, the side dishes were no better. When I asked how much the side of fries would cost, as I was considering adding them to another dish, I was told they would be $13 plus tax. For that price, I expected something far superior. One of the most frustrating aspects of dining at Prime is that, despite its location and reputation, it doesn’t seem to value its customers enough to deliver a consistently good meal. This isn’t just a critique of the food itself, but a call for future diners to be discerning. Tulsa deserves better, and as a food destination, it could certainly benefit from a stronger focus on quality dining. I felt like I paid for a large side of fries rather than a full meal. To future customers: You are valuable, so don’t settle for mediocre dining. Demand better, and truly think about what you’re putting in your mouth. If more people did this, perhaps Tulsa could become a true food destination. As for the Escargot 🐌 don’t wast the time. All taste sauce .

*Review for bar side only* I arrived on a Monday for their happy hour, which you have to because it fills up early. There was already a line when I got there 10 min prior to opening and they filled up within 10 minutes afterwards. Thank goodness they have seating at the bar top and bar tables. It was only me and I sat at the bar top. They have certain drinks and food on special prices for happy hour. It did take a minute for the bartender to attend to me because of the high volume of people that just came in but they did at least acknowledge me. I started with a strawberry kiss cocktail & it was very good. I went with the beef medallions with arugula. (Which on Monday happy hour is half off) I asked for Pittsburgh medium rare style & they said they’d tried. It did not come out that way but they still were able have the correct cooking temp. Nonetheless, it was very delicious. The arugula & mushrooms also cooked perfectly & was a complimented the medallions wonderfully. I then finished it off with another drink, basic gin gimlet, which was done well. Food and service was great. My only issue with my visit was, while I was finishing up my dining experience. The manger came to ask if would move over to one of the empty seats that was on either side of me. Which I did so that I didn’t seem like a jerk but I do like some space between myself and other guest. Their policy is that you have to wait in the waiting area for seats to open up in bar area. Well I understand the business aspect of it but also the guest visit should be more of a priority. Especially since I don’t to get out often because I’m usually at my job in a restaurant; and to ask a guest to move is very inconsiderate. Even when I worked at a fine dining restaurant, we never asked or even allowed to ask a guest to move even in the bar area. Where I’m at now it is a very last resort and even so I’d get a round of drinks or something for the inconvenience. But other than this, I would recommend & would return.

We recently visited Tulsa and I was blown away by the beauty of the city and surrounding areas and the kindness of everyone. We love visiting steakhouses when traveling and PRHYME was one so good we visited it twice. First, it's not just a steakhouse. They hone in on creating a compelling dining experience. The bread is served with a butter created in house that boasts with the flavor of herbs. The crumbs are scraped from the table mid-dining. Our first server brought me wine to taste and didn't tell me which wine was which, having me guess. I was amazed by his knowledge and suggestions based on the description I gave him- I can't drink red wine so I chose white. One was a Chardonnay from France which was very crisp and the other was a Sauv Blanc from California of all places, which was actually sweet and airy. The next time we went, our server was a Sommelier and created yet another great experience for us with the wines along with education along the way. Both times I ordered the ribeye cooked medium-rare+ (yes, this is an option!). The first time my steak was closer to rare than medium and without hesitation our server pointed it out and quickly whisked it away to be cooked a little longer. It was perfect upon return. The next day it was cooked to perfection. Both steaks were boasting with flavor and almost melted in my mouth- cutting the steaks was like cutting through butter. I also had the seared scallops, which were delicious and always pair perfectly with steak. The details throughout the dining experience were impeccable and blew the fine steakhouses in Vegas out of the water. At one point, I went to refill my wine glass and the server came out of nowhere to pour it for me. The knowledge of the staff was on key with every section of the menu. We also had dessert and suggestions on wine pairings for that as well. The dessert was delicious in every way, which we also enjoyed with cappuccino after having some more wine. The Chantilly Cheesecake was airy and delicate, perfect for when you feel full and want something sweet but can't imagine eating more. The Chocolate (mousse) Pie was the same. If you want to dine where the PGA players and celebrities dine, this is the place. I would chose this over the...
