Coney Island — Restaurant in Tulsa

If I could give them less than one star, I would. Today was my first time in. There was no menu that I could see, but I already knew I wanted coneys, so I just walked to the counter and ordered. The older gentleman was friendly and verified my order. (2 coneys, no mustard) When the younger man next to him (who had previously been on his phone) started to put mustard on my coneys the older gentleman repeated to him that I didn't want mustard. The younger man acted irritated by him. Ok...weird, but whatever. Then I take my food to the register where an older woman is messing with her phone. She didn't acknowledge my presence at all, just continued messing with her phone. To get her attention so I could pay and leave I said "I have 2 coneys, chips, and...." before I could finish my sentence she answered a phone call. It apparently disconnected so she looked at me and asked what I had. Again, before I could finish telling her, she had to answer her phone. I get that it's basically fast food and I shouldn't expect amazing...

There's no substitute to this culinary institution! Tulsa's "original" Coney shop. The only thing that's changed over the years about this place is their location and an expansion of the menu! My first experience with this restaurant was in 1967 when a CONEY (pre-cheese era) was eighteen cents and on my recent trip home to Tulsa and after a little investigation, I finally found their new North Boulder location! Was welcomed by the current owner/Mgr Georgia (she's the greatest), and feasted on the same great tasting conies of my youth! My wife (who thought the best conies were made in Cincinnati) had her eyes opened to the truth; there are none better, ANYWHERE! See ya when I get...
