Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Union City

This is by far is the WORST Chipotle location ever!!

The atmosphere and customer service is UNPLEASANT!!

For starters the tables are ALWAYS dirty and the trash cans are ALWAYS overflowing. Plus, they always run out of sides, ice and lemonade.

The staff is UNFRIENDLY AND DISMISSIVE!!

The area where they make your food is always DIRTY!!

There is a young mixed female possibly mixed with (white & black) with a short ponytail hanging from underneath her hat that is MEAN, DISRESPECTFUL AND UNFRIENDLY!!

She has been working there for months and she is BEYOND RUDE, DISMISSIVE and DISRESPECTFUL to ALL customers.

She does not smile. As a matter of fact, she has this unpleasant look on her face as if she HATES her job or need to go poo if that helps you to understand the way she looks at each customer.

She is not a people person she is just the opposite of that. I'm pretty sure she HATES people and her job. When asked what is her name all of her coworkers look at her and are afraid to say her name.

I requested to speak with the general manager. I believe his name is Jason Dixon and he brushed It off as if it was ok.

He never spoke more than a full sentence. He didn't apologize on behalf of his employee and had a blank stare as if he had something better to do then address a customer's concerns.

The moment that he went to the back she left the front counter without being called (mind you customers were waiting to be served by her).

She giggled and had this smug look on her face as if she does this all the time and gets away with it.

He saw me looking and brushed her off.

ALL of the employees are young with the exception of an elderly Hispanic woman.

All of the employees here need to be REPLACED as well as management!!!!

I love Chipotle and live close by but will now start driving to a Chipotle a little further in order to have clean and friendly experience.

This place is so nasty that I am very surprised that it has not been shut down or red tagged.

It's in a great location but as stated before the workers are UNSANITARY and RUDE!!!

I'm not sure if this location has passed inspection and if so, HOW??

However, I will be reaching out to the HEALTH DEPARTMENT because this location should be...

I went in with my girlfriend, she ordered 1st and the server there was just terrible. She had zero customer service, the counter was completely filthy and there was almost no food prepared. It was my turn and I decided to get 2 bowls, 1 for me and 1 for my brother. I asked for rice and the scoop was minimal on both, I also asked for beans and the server scooped up what ever was left in the tray, I asked for more beans and she came out with black beans knowing I asked for pinto and she drops the tray in very hard and is just rude. With out listening to me, she immediately goes to the meat part and scoops it, at that point I asked her if she was mad and she gives me this dirty look. I then tell her never mind I don’t want anything from here. What a joke, I ask the cashier what’s up with her and all he says is “ do you want to speak to the manager” ? I agree and he comes out and just says “ she is just doing her job” like 3 times. I tell him I worked in the fast food industry when I was younger and you don’t treat customers like that, the young lady then proceeds to get behind him mugging me the whole time like she wanted to do something. The manager seemed lost for words because he knew she was in the wrong. I wasn’t rude to her or him, I didn’t cuss or do anything to get treated this way. Believe me, I know if I was being rude but I wasn’t, and everyone there seemed so scared to say anything to her. She was rude to me, my girlfriend, and the customer in front of us. There was no one else in line, just me and my girlfriend at this point and there was no food prepared, why? Management was terrible, the place was dirty, nothing is ready, and the top it off the only server was rude, she was very young also and didn’t know how to control her emotions. It’s quite sad to see how far an establishment can fall. Anyways I will never go there again, I will always drive to Newark from now on when buying Chipotle, it’s even sadder that I live in Union City maybe 1.5 miles away. Find better workers. This review is based solely on the total disaster the place was in, not the food quality. However the front room made me worry what the kitchen looked like. Probably understaffed, but still... All garbage cans were overflowing and stacked well above the brim, food and waste on every table, scraps and napkins all over the floor, liquid spills not cleaned up, just a sign put out. Probably one the dirtiest restaurant I've been to. The guys (as in men) behind the counter were unfriendly as heck (very unhappy to be there), esp one who rolled his eyes at the customer next to me after he asked for a new food bag after the server drug it through the pile of queso Blanco sauce spread over the cashier counter. One of the girl servers appeared nice, so someone was trying. Food tasted fine, so no complaints, but come on, this place would have been shut down by the health department immediately had they come in on a surprise inspection. I'm really not that picky, but this was exceptional. Good luck. Maybe the other shifts are cleaner, maybe a greyhound bus full of people raided the place before I came in, but they could still wipe some tables and take the trash...
