Extremely unhappy customer. Firstly the wait staff was great and the issues had nothing to do with them. The price was unwarranted for the amount of food we received. Full disclosure me and my 7 year old daughter went as part of a large party of about 50people. I paid $84 (42/person) which included 3 shuffleboard courts and âlarge traysâ of food brought out for the party to share, (SOFT DRINKS WERE NOT INCLUDED!) tax and 20% gratuity. The majority of the edible food was gone in about 15 minutes including most of the vegetables and all I was able to eat was 3 pretzel bites and a burger slider that was beyond overcooked and cold because the rest of the food was spicy. The amount of food provided for a party of our size was not adequate. When we approached the alleged manager on staff, she was brusque and basically stated, âthatâs what was orderedâ and refused to make any sort of accommodations for the lack of edible food. When the reservation was made the person who organized the party did not allow the caller to choose food it was just âthis is the menu.â Also included in the $42 was a âdessert barâ the dessert bar consisted of three trays of tiny triangular cuts of frozen desserts on toothpicks for over 50 people.(photo below) My daughter and I did not play shuffle board, however a lot of people in our party enjoyed that aspect of it. Overall wouldnât recommend this restaurant for a large party, and if you do choose to come here be ready to pay A LOT per person for substandard food. Coconut shrimp was...
Read moreI must say that we had an Amazing time there and the Staff was INCREDIBLY Friendly and on Point. Our waitress was Awesome and made sure we were all well taken care of. I am sorry I don't remember her name, but she was a 22 year old server with dark hair and SHE was a Rockstar server and Employee.. Super Friendly and attentive. Our drinks were Never empty and the food was above average. I would give 5 STARS for all that!. The one thing I didn't like is when we got the Bill at the the end. We were a party of about 12 people who reserved 2 lanes for shuffle board for 2 hours and we all had a great time. It was $30 an hour per lane, so a total of $120. No problem and well worth it. They added 20% Gratuity to our tabs, once again, no problem and well worth it. I have no problem paying 20 %Gratuity for the food and drinks, BUT They Charged us 20% Gratuity for the Shuffle Board Also. That is where I have an issue. You should not add A TIP to a game. That was an extra $25 to tip the Floor we were walking on. Most of the party that I was with were all in the restaurant industry in VB, so we understand TIPPING. To make us tip on 20% for playing a Game is RIDICULOUS . That would be like charging people a 20% tip for playing Pool, Darts, Bowling, putt putt, Corn Hole, Jenga or any other game we play. The place has a GREAT STAFF and it has a Fun Vibe, just DON'T ADD GRATUITY to the GAMES and I will be back and bring a...
Read moreWe had fun at Beachside Social. A little Christmas Holiday family outing with our adult children home for the holidays. Everyone enjoyed the shuffleboard, food and drinks. It is pricey. Maybe it is busier in the summer. This night, there was one other group, possibly an office function going on. And that was it. Nothing about the club really wowed us. There is a cute boardwalk theme and clean restrooms.7 people in our party, three generations, and 5 played shuffleboard. 3 or 4 alcoholic drinks and 3 or 4 non alcoholic drinks, Typical bar foods: sliders, flat bread, coconut shrimp, cheese curds and tater tots. Someone probably got chicken wings or chicken strips if they were on the menu. and it was a $150 plus night for about 75 minutes of leisurely activity. We enjoyed free street parking since the trolley was out of commission for winter. Would we go again? Maybe, with family or friends, seems fun for larger parties with more competition. Although the group that night on the other side of the venue was very low key. Apex offers more to do in the same price range. It is a shame that all of these activities are too pricey for families to enjoy more frequently. If our kids were younger and not imbibing, we still would not spend $75 bucks very often on shuffleboard. If people actually could use it as a social club, with shuffleboard teams, it might be a fun place. Maybe it was quiet because...
