I am so disappointed with this stay. trying to figure out my options now. $1600. for 2 rooms and its been a disaster. For starters, Rooms were floors apart for no reason (I was told they could not get them closer upon checking in) after requesting to be moved ; when the first room had nothing functioning in it. we were moved closer .. same floor a few doors away. The first room we were given was missing the hair dryer, coffee pot, and coffee accessories, iron and ironing board. I called the front desk the man working told me he did not know where any of that stuff was capped and I was to speak to a manager in the morning. he obviously just didn’t feel like dealing with me. I then began to smell cigarette smoke extremely strong. When I walked outside I could see the smoking area was roughly 4 feet from our door so every time someone went to smoke it came in the room. I decided to blow it off go to sleep and speak with a manager in the morning so I laid down and attempted to turn the television on. well the TV came on, but did not work. we got one channel barely. I called the desk man and rwuested we be moved hemce him getting is the the Second room closer to our other room we rented. so here i was thinking we are okay now... nope!!! air conditioning would not blow out cold air and the next morning I find the shower is rapidly filling up on my legs while showering. To the point I had to shut the water off two times during my shower to let it drain. I go down to the front desk to speak to the manager who was very friendly very apologetic and he noted that he would take care of the tub as well as the air-conditioner today. Many hours later we return from a day on the boardwalk to find the air-conditioner still not working and the tub still stopped up. I walked down to the front desk the manager has left and the gentleman that initially checked me in is back at the front desk. I explained that his manager told us we would have these items fixed then referred me to his maintenance man who is already on the property. Maintenance man was able to get the air conditioning working but was on able to get the drain situation cleared. I am disgusted that I’ve paid $1600 to stay here when they have yet to accommodate anything. I will never stay here again. After all these issues Dont you think they would have offered a discounted rate for the nights we stayed missing the items we should have had or did something to make it better?. I do not recommend this its just...
Read moreWe originally booked an ocean front hotel for double the cost of this motel but later decided we would rather spend money on activities than where we sleep. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. I called on our way and asked if we could park there before check in to enjoy the beach as we were to arrive early. I was told in addition to being able to park here (I just needed to grab a parking pass) we could probably be checked in early.
The location is great. It is a very short walk to the beach, maybe 3 minutes. 27th street is also in a quiet part of town and we didn’t see anything to be concerned about during our entire stay. We ventured out at night to attempt to catch some ghost crabs and felt very safe the entire time. You see other families walking the side streets and we had 0 concerns.
The staff are great. They seem to always be smiling and are ready to accommodate guests.
The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. If you like a lot of pillows, like I do, you definitely should bring some along. I forgot my pillows at the hotel we stayed at on the way and they didn’t have any extra pillows available. There are 2 pillows per bed and they aren’t the fluffiest. The room was very clean and the shower pressure was great. There are storage areas to put extra stuff such as a bench, closet and a table in the bathroom.
They offer to clean the rooms during extended stays you just have to request it the night before so it can be put on the cleaning crews schedule for the next day. If you need more towels you simply grab some from the office.
There isn’t an ice machine but they have bundles of ice you can grab from the office.
I liked that the motel was staffed 24/7. When traveling with kids safety is always a concern and I loved knowing that if something happened the staff are present.
We would definitely stay here again as we had a great experience. No complaints. Book with confidence. We are glad we chose...
Read more1 star is too high of a rating for this “3 star hotel”. Don’t be tricked into thinking you are getting a good deal, this is a 1 star motel. On arrival our electronic room keys didn’t work, so we were forced to using a large, brass key to to unlock and lock the door. That’s when the nightmare started. The first thing I always do when I get to a room is check the bed and I can’t even make this up, there were dead bees on one pillow, the other one had blood stains, the sheets and comforter covered in more blood stains and brown stains which I presume to be fecal stains. Wow, right? That’s not even the worst of it. Every towel had a handful of pubic hairs on them. So after replacing all the sheets and towels and throughly checking each one as they passed us new sheets and towels with more stains and hairs we finally found some that were reasonably sanitary. The tv flickered on and off and to end this review short as this is getting to be a tad long I needed new towels at night and phoned the front desk to bring some up but was told he couldn’t do so and I had to go down. Upon leaving the room I saw a man walking around the parking lot and as I approached the front desk he ran towards me and shoved cash into my hand that the front desk representative was waiting for. He said he couldn’t be seen in the front desk room, and when I tried to refuse he put the cash in my hand forcefully and the front desk representative asked for it. I went up to my room, called the police, and checked out early to go stay at an actually hotel. Do yourself a favor and...
