We are staying at the Hampton Inn that the restaurant is connected to, and it was so convenient to have this restaurant here and not have to drive in holiday beach traffic after checking in. As previous reviewers mentioned, we did seem to wait a while for our food and drinks, but it was July 4th. I got a sense that the kitchen might be understaffed or maybe just overwhelmed that day. We were not in a hurry. We enjoyed the view of the boardwalk and the beach. I appreciated that there were mocktails on the menu; I had the Uber lemonade, which was really good (and purple!). My husband got the lemon pepper wings, which he said tasted good but were too salty. I got the Buffalo Chicken Salad. My grilled chicken was more like blackened chicken and it was not tossed in buffalo sauce, but I actually liked it better this way! It went great with the Bleu cheese crumbles and the Bleu cheese dressing was chunky and not runny. The vegetables were fresh. The whole thing just hit the spot. And oh my gosh, they have Nightingale gourmet ice cream sandwiches from Richmond! We each got one. So delicious! Our server Caitlin was attentive, very sweet and efficient. We're staying here in the hotel for a few days, so we may go back.

Ordered pizza, our hotel is right next to the place, so it was convenient. Called and the lady on the phone was super nice when taking my order and assured me she got down everything I wanted. Got the pizza with like everything on it, forget what it’s called. Asked for 3 ranch and 1 garlic sauce. Got 0 garlic sauce and 2 ranch. This is a big deal because if you’re going to charge for a small thing of sauces, at least include them. As for the pizza itself, it was average. I didn’t care for the breading but it was loaded with toppings and the sauce was very tomato-ey! Very filling. A bit expensive. $40 for this large pizza, but I expected nothing less with its location and the amount of toppings ! So I don’t hold that against them. Probably won’t be back, but glad I tried it. I’m just sure Virginia Beach has much better pizza.

Nice. Never been to Chichos before. Hungry, nearby, and they had parking. Ordered the "Cho'zone", their customize your own calzone product. Ordered pepperoni and sausage to go with the ricotta and mozzarella. Nice product. Asked for the hot and spicy marinara. The 'Zone had a good size. Hot and spicy marinara was indeed hot and spicy, but also thick (Nice change of pace). Bartenders were a bit slow in the greeting but friendly enough. I mentioned that I was just there to eat, and that's all they tended to. Didn't even ask if I'd like a glass of water. The tab had an 18% tip built-in to the total. I usually tip 30%, so this saved me some money.

If I could give this restaurant NEGATIVE stars, I would, solely based on the service alone. The food was decent. The pretzel appetizer was delicious. However, our server and her attitude throughout the night was terrible enough to ruin the entire experience.

We originally had 10 people seated at the beginning of our meal, with 2 additional guest joining later. It began expectedly. We each ordered an appetizer, entree, and a drink. Our waitress grouped our checks by couple/person to make it more efficient or easier, as she saw fit. This is where things began to fall apart. Half of our party received their entrees, then 20 minutes later their appetizers came. The other half our our party neither received any food (appetizer or entree) or notification. The waitress only checked with one half of the table (the side who received food) and walked off before checking with the other side, despite our attempts to get her attention.

The first reminder came when I asked for the status of my appetizer. By this time, the first half of the table was already done eating and their plates were being cleared away. My appetizer was finally brought out. The 2 additional guests arrived, approximately 40 minutes after we were first seated, and their orders were taken. The food the last couple's order came out of the kitchen before the orders of the latter group half. The waitress was severely infrequent. An order of drinks was never received, despite another reminder.

More than an hour after being seated, the third reminder was when another person in our party asked for an update of their meal. As of this moment 3 people had received zero food, 4 people had incomplete orders, and 5 people were already done eating and their plates cleared away. While the remaining food FINALLY came out, our waitress hardly ever came by for the remainder of the meal. No apologies ever about the delay were made.

Our checks came. The 20% Service Charge/Tip for large groups is expected, and I am usually happy to accommodate and leave extra; yet, this is the first time I wanted it waived completely. Our waitress most definitely did not deserve an $18 tip. After more waiting, I had to find her to her to let her know our concerns. When I said, "You forgot 3 peoples' orders entirely." She replied, "No, I didn't. I gave everyone their food." Yes...after an hour and a half and a reminder. I asked for a discount for the rest of my unhappy party, to which she promptly responded that she could not because I was the only one with concerns. I told her she could ask for herself. When she approached the table, she asked the side that received their food first and with no problems if they had any issues. They said no, and redirected her statement at me from the front of the table: "So, you're the only one with an issue." NO. The 7 people with less-than-unsatisfactory service spoke up. They got a 10% discount applied to their total check. (The food was discounted, not the service charge. So, technically, she received a more-than-deserved tip.)

I can only hope tonight was a fluke. Hopefully, this is a one-time occurrence for any future guests, but it's enough to deter me and my friends from ever...

Hello all, This review may be a tad bit long due to us wanting to capture our amazing experience while in Virginia Beach for the first time ever this past week Oct 21st thru 28th! A huge contributing factor were the staff at 11th Street Taphouse Bar & Grille! They made our whole experience each and every day the best! They went out of their way to greet us, welcoming us into their space, engaged in great conversation, shared stories, spent time getting to know us and allowed us to get to know them! We blessed them with our presence every day, we would walk in and there would be hand made signs (on napkins) welcoming their favorite Arizonians, seats saved for our favorite Arizonians etc! We had such an amazing experience that we bought some merchandise to share with our friends and family. We had the opportunity to meet the General Manager, Marisa as well as the Regional Director of Operations, David Cavallaro. When I approached David to let him know what an amazing job his team of staff members are doing, he was so appreciative, respectful and thanked us for purchasing merchandise and supporting the team and business. I would like to give a shout out to all the amazing staff who were contributing factor, they are listed in no particular order. Mike the bartender, was one of the most personable bartenders, attentive, out-going, our artist who made the welcome signs for us, we appreciate him so much! Marisa, the GM was out-going, welcomed us and was so accommodating, and engaging! Albert, Kitchen Manager, was absolutely amazing as he helped his kitchen staff with delivering food, busing tables, etc.., loved their out-going personalities: Always smiling Sarah , Ericka, as they served tables, attended to people to ensure they are having a fantastic experience. Staff would stop to check in with us to see if we needed anything. I watched Shawn stop what he was doing to attend to two individuals in wheelchairs to help them get settled in at their table. Jazmine, Megan, Shamika, Yaya (kitchen) were ALL amazing! We were sad to leave them to fly home! We will hold each staff close to our hearts! Until next time- 11th Street Taphouse Bar & Grille! Meeting this crew has been pretty impactful, it was an honor! The food was delicious, the onion rings, potato chips are the bomb! We saw the huge pretzel come out of the kitchen many times! The beer was ice cold! Much love to you all, Jo, Teresa...

Chicho's Pizza on 11th Street is a Virginia Beach institution, and it's easy to see why it remains a popular spot. It's a solid choice for a casual meal, especially when you're looking for that classic boardwalk pizza vibe. The location is a definite plus. Being right on Atlantic Avenue, just steps from the oceanfront, it offers a great atmosphere, particularly if you can snag a table with a view. The energy is lively, fitting right in with the beach scene. They often have TVs tuned to sports, and the overall feel is exactly what you'd expect from a long-standing local favorite. Now, for the pizza: it's good. Not necessarily "gourmet" or "life-changing," but it's consistently satisfying. The crust has a nice chew, and the cheese is generous. Their signature hot and spicy sauce is a distinguishing factor that many regulars love, offering a unique kick that sets it apart from your average pizza joint. Beyond the pizza, their menu has a good selection of pub-style fare like wings, subs, and appetizers that are perfect for sharing. Service is generally efficient, even when they're busy, which is often. The staff handles the crowds well, and you usually get your food in a reasonable amount of time. They also boast a good selection of draft beers, making it a comfortable spot to hang out and grab a brew. So, why not five stars? While consistently good, the pizza itself doesn't always reach "wow" levels of flavor or innovation. It's a reliable, classic slice, but if you're seeking a truly artisanal or Neapolitan-style experience, this isn't it. Also, like many popular spots at the oceanfront, it can get quite loud, which isn't always ideal for intimate conversation. However, for a fun, lively, and dependably tasty pizza experience right in the heart of Virginia Beach, Chicho's Pizza 11th Street hits the mark. It's a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family after a day...
