Sunsations — Local services in Virginia Beach

My boyfriend and I walked in the store early in the morning. I asked the white guy at the register about bags told us to go to the back, which we did! We were looking and I heard him tell the other girl that was folding clothes if she got us? I kept browsing didn’t like anything so we left. I was carrying a small plastic white bag and wristlet. My boyfriend had a towel on his shoulder. He saw walk out and didn’t say anything till we are about to cross the street. He walks out the other store and yelled at my boyfriend “sir you took the shirt” we turned around because I wasn’t sure I was hearing him correctly. Clearly I went back because I had nothing to hide because we didn’t take anything. I said what shirt did we take? He looks at my boyfriend and realized he didn’t have anything either. He felt real stupid because he thought he had someone and make a scene outside. My boyfriend asked him why me his response was I’m looking for thief’s. So my boyfriend looks like a thief to you bc he looks a certain way. I will never go back to another Sunsations ever!!!!!! And maybe should train their people a little better! And stop stereotyping people because of the way they look! Sunsations on Atlantic Ave...

We bought a pair of shoes for my five year old daughter, but they hurt her feet when she put them on without the tags. She did try them in the shop, but it was hard to get the full sense of them.

We tried to return the shoes a few hours after purchase. They were not worn, merely tried on, but the employees looked at us like we were from Mars. They flat out refused a refund, citing their vague policy of "no refunds on beach items..." written in small print with lots of words on smallish signs so they aren't something you would really notice unless held in front of you and shaken, as the teenage "manager" did to me.

If there were signs stating that all sales are final, we would never have made the purchase. Believe it or not, ALL merchandise at Sunsations is non-returnable. ALL SALES ARE FINAL on everything. This is not the impression one gets in the shop. The signage looks like it''s designed to be deceptive, at best, leaving the impression that swimsuits and such are non-refundable, which sort of makes sense, but not everything.

If you shop here, pay by credit card so you can deny the charges. I recommend you give your money to...

Bought a shirt from here July 3rd. They didn't have coins to give out so I didn't get the change owed. They are making extra money off of the customers, which is totally wrong for a business to do. Won't be shopping this place...
