Gonna go ahead and give this bad boy all the stars. What an awesome new addition to Hampton roads! I am an ice fanatic, and while I love a yummy ice cream cone, I ADORE ice. It reminds me of hot NYC days getting fresh ice from the ice cart vendors. I was so missing it. This really is perfection to me! Upon coming inside the first thing I noticed was that it was a full house! Often that's always a good sign of things to come, it rang true! As I walked in they were getting out ice as fast as possible, and still noticed me and said hi. They also told me if I had any questions feel free to ask and they give me the rundown. I appreciate that. For someone with anxiety it's nice to be told that instead of getting nervous wondering if you'll ask to many questions lol. They have really pretty boards up with all the options and additions so it's very easy and to go board to board to see how it works. You choose your flavors, ice cream, and then toppings. As I stated I'm more of an ice girl so we decided to X the ice cream and toppings and went with two ice flavoes. Blueberry lavender and passion fruit. It was absolutely amazing! The flavors were delicious, and you watch them make it right in front of you. They crush the ice up and mix the flavors as you watch, which always makes the food taste better doesnt it?!! We ordered one to share, as they are pretty large...however if you're an ice addict who can handle their fill then you for sure should go separate. They have outside seating, as well as a little house like set up in the back with swinging chairs, regular chairs, and I saw a set up for a/c and heat. It also has a sliding door so if it's a bit too chilly you can probably close it!!! Lol. I had so much fun on the chair swing enjoying my ice. The amount of flavors they have is insane, and they don't mind if you take your time. (I hate places that rush me ugh). Also, they sell such cute merch that I bought a shirt! Straight off the hanger as they were going fast and it was the only one left in the design and size I wanted. I squealed with glee about that shirt, and can't wait to wear it. I give a total stamp of approval on this place. Delicious ice, great customer service, and immaculate vibes! What more could you even ask for? I'll be back for sure! Ok, ok I get it! My daughter has urged me to try Get Lost since the end of last Summer. So I’m very late in weighing in, but thrilled I can now anoint a raving 5 star review and highly recommend.

So what is Get Lost? It’s a HawIian inspired shave ice like no other in Coastal Virginia. They are located in the Vibe District near the VB oceanfront. The building was once a lawnmower shop.

For me you can quickly gauge a business when you walk through the door. With Lost being tiny the employees can immediately greet you as they did when I approached the counter. They will ask if it’s your first time to discuss the creative menu options. The staff smiled and were eager to serve. Shout out to Stephanie & George.

The menu is set up with bowls attached to names such as The Chill, Float on & The Sunset. Or, you can build your own bowl with around ten unique flavors. They even offer vegan and dairy free options. Each bowl contains a scoop of ice cream and snow cap which is like a frosting. Finally you can also chose from their Specials board where you can build your own lemonade or how about a banana split, they have that too!

There are a few seats inside and around eight picnic tables with umbrellas outside. The building behind has comfortable air conditioned seating inside. I chose to take up an inside bar seat and enjoy the show. The teamwork was freaking amazing to pull off the process of making these custom made shave ice bowls. They are honestly made by passionate staff who desire to thrill each customer.

My Pitaya in Paradise bowl was cranked out in around five minutes and presented beautifully. The bowl is described as “Dragon fruit, coconut, lime, vanilla ice with a coconut snow cap” That first bite explained so much why they hold a full 5 star on all review platforms. The cool concoction made my taste buds happy to be alive. The blending of ingredients hit a perfect note from snow cap to ice cream revealed after you work your way to the bottom. Indeed I was blown away.
