This has quickly become my something my husband and I do several times a month. We ride our bikes over and shop for some things and have a few things that we love to get every week or so.
We grab a coffee nearby, shop, listen to some music across the street at the Eco mart and enjoy the vintage market once a month as well.
There are some seriously talented vendors here selling their wares to include floral, tea, buns, ice cream, a butcher, plants and succulents, tons of fresh veggies, and various other items that rotate from week to week.
It is small and feels intimate and can sometimes be very crowded and sell out quick - but sometimes not, so give it a shot. Usually a few food trucks are out front and you can always stop and support one of the local businesses like Java Surf, BadAss Coffee, Three Ships...
Read moreOld Beach Farmer’s Market is a fantastic open-air market filled with tons of local delights. Every visit is an adventure — from amazing Chimi Churri and NaNa Sauce (good on just about anything!) to Life is Gouda cheese, which we grab every time. There’s also local kombucha, Krid’s Crumbs sourdough bread, and delicious treats from Staz-a-licious Bakery. The market can get busy, but it’s easy to navigate, and every vendor I’ve purchased from takes both cash and card (just note that some may add a small service fee for card). Pro tip: bring a reusable collapsible bag — it’s the perfect way to carry everything until it gets too heavy (that’s usually when we know it’s time to stop shopping, ha!). Our son (Rodney Einhorn) Chef & Owner of Terrapin Restaurant was one of the original venders at Old Beach Farmers Market (selling his fresh made bread, granola and Sorbet), and now ---a "few" years later---from 2007 to 2023--*haha, we are venders with our Ice Cream store (GERALD'S ICE CREAM). It is such a pleasure to be at this very local and charming Farmers Market. We enjoyed it so much all those many years ago and always loved its being a place to meet up & purchase "fresh, natural and house-made" products.
