During our short vacation at Virginia Beach, my daughters and I decided to drop into a local CrossFit gym Kaizen Athletic, and we couldn't have been more impressed! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the most positive vibes. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and energetic, making us feel right at home.
The gym itself was impeccably organized and spotless. It was clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the space. They had all the equipment we needed for specialized events like HYROX and Deka, which was fantastic because it meant no interruptions in our regular training routine.
Emily, the owner, was an absolute gem. She was extremely responsive and helpful right from the initial contact. Upon arrival, she took the time to ensure we had everything we needed and answered all our questions with a smile. Her knowledge about CrossFit and these specific events was top-notch. Emily’s instructions and coaching were clear, concise, and incredibly effective. My daughters and I felt supported and motivated throughout our entire workout.
Overall, this CrossFit gym exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're in Virginia Beach and looking for a place to train, I highly recommend dropping by. We left feeling accomplished and part of a community. Huge thanks to Emily and her team for making our visit so memorable!
I hope this captures the wonderful experience you...
Read moreGreat place! I am a Doctor of Chiropractic up in NH and am down here visiting family. My sister took me to the Saturday class that Emily hosted and I wished I could work out at a gym like this at home! As soon as we walked in everyone was saying hello to us and welcome my family. Emily came over and got us set up for the class super easy breezy. What an absolutely spotless gym; great equipment as well! The whole hour class was great and I definitely approved of the exercises we were doing. It's a non-compressional foundation functional fitness class, which means you're not adding extra gravitional forces to your spine or knees and you're moving the whole body, so you're not going to hurt your hurt yourself while working out. You ARE going to build great core strength and mobility and functional movements that are going to help you keep moving without pain and keep doing the things that you like to do! Thank you very much Kaizen Athletics. Emily, if you're ever looking to expand and go to NH, please...
Read moreI recently completed the Kaizen Adaptive Training course and it was amazing! This is a great training not just for people in the fitness world but also healthcare workers, physical therapist and anyone who works hands on with seniors citizens. Emily provided so much information but in a way that is was so easy to understand and also retain. There were a lot of great aspects about the training but there were two that stuck with me. We had the privilege of hearing three adaptive athletes with three different visible/invisible(mental health) impairments. I could go on and on about how much of an impact it had on me but simply put, it was life changing. The other part of the training that will forever stick with me is doing an adaptive training workout. It really opened my eyes to how the athletes feel when they go through their workouts. Emily has an unparalleled desire to help these athletes and its apparent how much she truly cares for...
