Horrible place to go as a local artist. Unless you were born and raised in VB and you have the parental guidance to know about this place---it's useless. Nonprofits aren't nice in VB. They are just ways to pay for events and pay the utilities like rent and the board of directors salaries. There are THOUSANDS of artists in vb that are barely getting by while the VIBE gives out a meager $50,000 a year to 50 artists TOTAL. That's the same cost or LESS of the Director's annual salary. They're awful imo and only reward the most competitive, most outgoing artists with mostly mural opportunities. There's also clearly a huge brand identity with this nonprofit and it is evident that they are prone to chose artists that blend with their own artistic brand identity. Truthfully this business was probably started by an artist or group of artists that got tired of competing. Now all they have to worry about is a budget and making themselves available. Most Google reviews are from tourists thinking this is just art, but the Vibe is actually a charitable organization attempting to author local artists' success. They want artists to give up on individuality and show up to the event. This isn't supposed to be making art but sharing it, yet VIbe is trying to do both. I'm scorned because yall were scorned when you made this business. Insincerely hope you consider making--no organizing--your directory so that young kids living with mom and dad with full support & floating mid career artists who have yet to get paid DON'T end up competing with each other forever. It IS about age sometimes. The 35 year old struggling to pay rent DESERVES to get that award and you know it. Yall make me...

There are a lot of restaurants throughout that area as well as well as housing, fire, rescue and...
