Not that anyone from Virginia Beach needs a list of reasons why you shouldn’t visit this establishment, for the tourists here goes: 1. A cover charge. Why? Because there are 18 year olds who aren’t going to buy alcohol. And it’s $10. I love paying $10 to listen to an awful DJ who repeatedly asks “where my libras at??” No. One. Cares. 2. The cover charge is not only bananas, but guess what else it does? Attracts under 21 year olds. So expect to be bombarded by these kids asking you to dance. 3. Bartenders are plentiful, but apparently they don’t understand they can all work at the same time. There would be a line at the bar, and the bartenders were rotating as the next customer walked up for service. WHY? Get rid of the line. Your tip would have been more if you were efficient. 4. I bought a $5 pizza at the end of the night so you NEVER have to- it should be a crime to sell this pizza. It’s awful, I’m sure the health department would not agree it was actually food. If you like eating cardboard, this is your jam. 5. The way they hold people out front to make it look like it’s exclusive is so annoying. Don’t be fooled. The bald dude manning the front was ridiculous. The only decent dude was the one who searched my bag. And fyi- they touch your stuff, they don’t just put a stick through your bag- they pull your stuff out. Pretty sure there’s some rights violation here, but I’m more concerned for the man whose been told to dig to the bottom of every woman’s bag. Maybe have a clear bag policy if you’re that bothered? Makes me wonder what you’re looking for and if I should be concerned for my safety. I’m not sure how this place survives. If you’re visiting, do yourself a favor, go anywhere else but here. If you’re under 21, this is Nickelodeon approved, welcome, and if you’re a local- it’s just as bad as it’s always been- don’t do it.

Came in on Saturday around 10pm. The place was empty because they had a special event DJ showing up around 11-12 and required tickets for entry. I bought the tickets to get in and realized it was pretty empty so me and the wife played pool and had some drinks while we waited. Talked to the staff a little. All seemed friendly until around 11 when we walked out and came back in. The security at the bottom told us to go up the left side, security in the middle told us we were on the wrong side, security at the top was skeptical that I had already been there and tried to say I got my Wristband from the bottom on my way in that time (vice at the top around 10pm). I had already explained everything to security in the middle so I told the guy at the top in a stern voice that we were one of the first people there and that I had already explained the confusion to the guy in the middle. He let us through and said (in a rude tone) "Next time use the right side." Aside from that, our night was great and I dont have any complaints. 11 was when it started to get busy. Midnight it was packed the way I'm used to seeing clubs in San Diego Gas Lamp District at 10pm. 😅 There are two bars with a decent selection off to each side. The dance floor is in the middle. Pool tables are on the left when you walk in. Bathrooms to the right. Drinks were good.

We are from out of town ..Ohio.On my wife's birthday weekend and was looking forv a place to dance and listen to some great club music...PEABODYS was the Hot Spot in Virginia Beach....It had it all great friends staff and awesome set up inside with a free selfie photo station that you can send to your cell phone. Not to mention the spectacular food selection and the all you can eat wings for 10.00.Codi our waitress was hands down one of the most customer service oriented down to earth servers we have ever met.We played trivia that was about different music types before the DJ came on ...and we won a 25.00 in house gift certificate...that when we used it with our already low tab amount ( Because they have happy Hour from 7 pm to 9 pm )...our tab was minimal for hours and hours of KICK ASS VIRGINIA BEACH fun....I highly recommend this night club to any and all out of towners who want to have a great time low cost Dance fuled night to remember.😁This deserves 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Brian and KelliMassillon Ohio #PeabodysVB @peabodysnightclub #buzzybooth

"IN DARKNESS WE SHINE BRIGHTEST; LET'S ROLL" First off, Tess and Gabby, youre awesome. Youre both absolutely gorgeous and the way you treated me made me feel awesome. Thank you.

Second!!! My brother that works up front for security checking IDs... i cant remember your name especially after facebook censored my account... but i remember you carrying the same energy with me year after year and i love you for it. I know once you saw my name too you remembered me and that literally meant the world to me to be treated how everyone used to treat me. The most love brother.

Brady : protect the broseidons at all costs, LOYALTY is more valuable than your entire clubs weight in gold. You are next in line to lead the family.

Sarah : Keep up the hard work

Joe : we never needed to say anything, i love you dude, i wish you the best in life, i am manifesting a harem for you, you deserve it

Jobber : thank you for always being the same guy, always treating me the same no matter what and always giving me sound advice; the only reason i delete posts i make when im emotional is because you taught me sometimes things are better left unsaid.

Brandon : i know why you do it but for you to try and discourage me from pursuing my dj work as my primary work, im extremely disappointed. Ive studied music for 18 years. I can read sheet music. When you want me playing your club again, because the demand is on its way, minimum $10k

Did you guys know i am first american born on my fathers side? They were born in guyana which is south american, african slave brought by the french during the slave trade. My bloodlines are from nigeria, congo, subsaharan desert and india.

Im the only one who isnt secret service, marine, army, air force, mason chapter president or civilian contractor. I chose to make music. I tried to join the military at least 3 times and because of failures from recruiters as well as criminal police, i was never able to join.

Still the best nightclub on the oceanfront but im so dissatisfied with behavior out of two employees ive known for years.

Last night, four employees gave me dirty looks and poor service in a way i had never experienced before. One of the employees did the same to me last friday.

I can infer why:

For your insight, my name is hindi, french and greek, Darien means "Gift" and Persaud means "Gift of Abundance" and my middle name is Hispanic. My grandmother was born in san juan puerto rico and her son is my father. My mom abandoned me as a child and lied my whole life about the circumstances. So did my father in order to get CPS off his ass in 2008 who let me get raped at age 9 just before my 10th birthday on September 11th 1991.

I was bullied relentlessly everyday after my tenth birthday. Lied about. Racially harassed by white, black and latino students because of my skin color.

I am multi racial mulatto. Light skin. And people have targeted me accusing me of being a racist because of my skin tone. ... how ironic...

#2, you literally broke my heart tonight.

Im not sure what got into you but im not ever talking to you again. Its just real like that. You made me feel like utter shit and i was handing you money for someone elses drink i bumped off their table. Money i couldnt afford to be spending. I found food in a bin today on the sidewalk. Ill make it until wednesday.

I djed here in 2012 and 2013, multiple gigs and sold tickets for Steez for multiple peabodys affiliated shows, played a sold out crowd for mardi gras.... i came back with more experience. Technically and with original music ... and after you baited me out for potential dj work, you offered me a busboy position.

#2 thats not just an insult, i wont survive. I was homeless when i worked for 100 bucks a gig in 2013.

Im still homeless. I do not have family. Its just me...

it’s alright if youre under 24. i like how mid sized artists will come and play so you can see someone you like for under $30 and be pretty close. it’s a good opportunity for people under 21 to experience the club scene. majority of the events are 18+ so just be prepared to be around younger people. not inherently bad, just something to keep in mind. i havent had any bad experiences here. i usually go alone and it’s typically a decent time. girl’s bathroom has enough stalls but not plenty. not usually a line but just depends. theres pool and foosball. plenty of tables to sit. i havent gotten food there. drinks are decent prices as far as i can tell.

my biggest gripe is that water costs money. $3 a bottle at that. i went to the last shrek rave. the DJs were great but it definitely leaned more house-y. not bad at all and i enjoyed the music but not a ton of variety in terms of sub genres. the turn out also wasnt huge but it was on a thursday. i received a cup of water for free at the beginning, and then bottles were pushed the rest of the night. the bartenders said they would get in trouble if they gave out free cups. i saw a girl drink out of the sink in the bathroom to avoid the charge.

i know this is a small business and tickets are relatively cheap, but in a world where you have to pay for EVERYTHING, can water not be provided as a basic human necessity??? this is an 18+ club and it gets HOT in there. especially when youre potentially headbanging and thrashing for a rave. even if youre just dancing like normal. the dance floor isnt huge. so you have many people of different ages getting hot, sweaty, and dehydrated. water should be free, period. i dont know if ive ever been to a rave that doesnt provide free water. ive worked behind bars. the guns that they use for soda and juice literally have a water button on it. thats how i got the first cup.

i wont be coming back for this reason. it’s ridiculous to me personally. so be prepared/budget for that if youre someone who likes to stay hydrated...
