This was my first time trying jianbing! I ordered the tofu bing. There was no line, so it only took about 5 minutes for them to prepare my crepe, but everything is cooked to order. If you stand in the right spot you can watch them cook. The jianbing had a very unique texture! The egg-based crepe was almost spongy (but strong enough that you can pick it up and it holds together) and the crunch comes from the fried dough crisps inside. They didn't skimp on the tofu. I ordered mine with the spicy bean paste - it wasn't the same kind of heat as hot sauce or hot peppers, but a deep aromatic spice. Unless you have a serious aversion to anything at all spicy, I don't think their "spicy" will give you issues. You order at a kiosk and give it your phone number so that you get a text when your order is ready. The staff was also nice enough to call out to me when they had mine, and the text arrived at basically the same time that they called. Even though my interaction with them was brief, they seemed polite. This vendor is located in the French Market, which has plenty of indoor and outdoor, and a nice atmosphere. I heard it could be busy at lunch, but I was there around 1-1:30 and it was pretty calm by...

Location is accessible but small. It is located in a mall so there is an operating elevator and escalators, and there are chairs within the dining area. It's located between two lines (red and blue) so it's very convenient for grabbing a quick bite between transfers!

The service is overall quite fast, I went during lunchtime hour and ordered the fish jianbing - the chef let me know right away that it would take a little longer since it was fish. It took about 10 min from ordering to receive my food which isn't long at all imo

The jianbing was a good portion size. Other people's photos are accurate - it's like a well-filled savory, crispy crepe cut in half. There are a lot more options than I expected and American friendly (bacon avocado flavor lol) so there are many "safe" options if you're hesitant to try new things. I'll be...

We stop by Jian’s second location in Block 37, a very convenient that much need an option for Asian food. You can order at the machine or at the register and the food and bubble tea arrives quickly. I love that I can both get food and bubble tea all at once. I got the classic jian bing (chinese crepe) which a tad salty but I love the crispy cracker in the middle and the egg combo. It’s quite filing. The bubble tea comes in big size, I got the watermelon yakult special and it was good. There aren’t too many seating and it’s one level lower then the street level so it’s best to...
