Lady Hawk in West Hollywood completely won me over. My close friend and I hadn’t seen each other in a year, and we were looking for a place to relax and enjoy ourselves. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive—it really felt like the staff cared we were there.
The space is cozy, sexy, and inviting, with dim lighting and cushioned seating that made us want to stay forever. We were escorted to a corner table with a perfect view of the open kitchen. Watching the chefs do their magic set the vibe. The way the team worked together made the night feel effortless.
As a Mediterranean food lover, I’ve been to great spots (Bavel, Saffy’s), but Lady Hawk really impressed me. We started with the Za'atar Man'oushe—crispy dough, wild thyme, olive oil, tomatoes, and labneh. If you love Mediterranean food, you have to get this!
Then came the Mezze Platter with soft, pillowy pita for dipping into beetroot hummus and baba ghanouj. We couldn’t stop eating—it was that good.
For mains, the Grilled Shrimp were tender and juicy, with just the right amount of heat from green harissa. The Dry-Aged Hiramasa Crudo was light and bright. The Olive Crusted Rack of Lamb was tender and served with garlic yogurt and dehydrated olives. But the Whole Daurade—smoky, tender, with zhoug and pickled jalapeños—was the star. It was so good, we barely spoke while eating it. You can ask them to remove the head if you prefer.
The zero-proof drink selection is great. I started with the Cucumber Agua Fresca, which was refreshing, and finished with the Dusty Rose, a delightful mix of rose petals, grapefruit, and lychee.
For dessert, the Roseberry was light, not overly sweet, and the perfect finish to the meal.
The service kept impressing—fresh napkins waiting when I stepped away, and the staff explained each dish with care. It truly made the meal feel personal.
Lady Hawk isn’t just about amazingggg food—it’s an experience. From attentive service to thoughtful details, it’s a place that makes you feel valued. And honestly, I’ll be back. It’s my new favorite...
Read moreService was great and the atmosphere and design of the space was equally excellent. The food and the prices leave something to be desired, however. Dinner for 2 was $225. No alcohol, no dessert. For that price, I expected more.
A single small pita is $5. An equally small bowl of what ended up being fairly mediocre olives are $9. The olives were overly salty and had none of the lemon and Chile notes advertised. The dips are $15-17 and are also small, even for 2 people. You’re $30 in just in snacks for the table. We got 2 non alcoholic drinks which were another $30.
We had the tuna crudo because the server recommended it as outstanding. It was very underwhelming with some notes of chile and citrus and otherwise forgettable. The fattoush was similarly just ok. The dressing had no complexity and was just overly sweet and acidic. The half chicken at $40 was the tiniest half chicken I’ve ever had and was cooked well but also otherwise pretty forgettable. The lettuce wraps were a nice touch however there weren’t enough of them and of course we had no hummus left to use in the wraps because the portion sizes were so small. I guess for another $30 we could’ve gotten more bread and dip…
The standout was the zaatar manoush but, again, I have a really tough time paying $19 for what ended up being 4 small pieces of bread, despite it being the best...
Read moreI don't have much to complain about the food! Was delicious and carefully seasoned, but this doesn't make a place great! I have eaten good food all over the world, there are many great Chefs out there! What makes a place truly remarkable for me, is the service and atmosphere, and how the overall experience makes me feel when I pay the bill. And I normally don't spare any expense - I want to have a great time. However, nothing bothers me more in a place that is counting my time while having dinner ... by the waiters, who I tip in the end for their service...
Being bothered continuously by annoyingly and uncalled random visits from different waiters to 'check' if our food was good, if we 'still nibble', if we need more water, if we finished the dessert, if we want to order more, or not, or this or that...annoyed me a lot, but honestly I have seen it before, in other 'high end' places having a fast food mentality: come, order, eat and go.
This type of imbalance between a guy who is pouring his heart and soul to create an ornament of food and spices for his customers, proud to share authentic Lebanese recipes ( in this case ) versus bad management / training of the staff who are only thinking about tips...is what normally makes/breaks a restaurant.
"You can change the wolf's skin but not...
