RUN! Anthony French hacked off my daughter's hair before she could finish her sentence. I've never written a review online, but the trauma of my experience with Anthony French at this salon is still with me. I took my daughter in for her first real high-end salon quality cut. She had almost waist-length naturally platinum blonde silky mermaid hair, but was thinking about a real cut - she thought long bob. I wasn't convinced and thought a stylist at a high end salon would help her make a good decision - maybe something in-between with a little more shape and just cleaning up the summer wear and tear. We sat down, Anthony French put two hair bands in - low pig tail style. I said, "that's way too short", and my daughter and I continued to discuss what she wanted to do. She had her head turned towards me talking and Anthony picked up the scissors suddenly and hacked off one side of her hair ABOVE the hair band with his back to me so I couldn't see what he was doing. She heard the grind of the scissors on her hair and saw the 8-10 inches of hair still in the hair band come off. We were both stunned. Tears silently streamed down her face and I could see the rising panic in her so I stayed calm, but I was horrified and the damage was done - her gorgeous hair was gone. This seemed such a vindictive and deliberate action - like he didn't want to deal with hesitation so he just hacked it off without saying a word. She needed a minute before he came at her again with the scissors and he snapped if we weren't happy we "could go to Yellow Submarine to finish the cut" (presumably this is a kids hair salon). Like leave with her hair half cut??? He seemed violently angry that she was crying and only concerned with how this looked on him in the salon. The damage was done so she didn't have any choice but to cut the other side, which he did, while my daughter fought back the tears. Her hair is slightly wavy and was weirdly kinked in the front from his rough dry -- it looked horrendous. He disappeared for a minute, came back and said that he had spoken to the manager and that they weren't going to charge me and this was a "horrible experience for everyone" and walked away leaving her hair a mess - un-styled and unfinished. I could see my daughter had used every ounce of strength to hold back the tears as best she could and this was the final straw -- she just sat there sobbing. I got a round brush and water and re-blowdried her hair so it was at least a straight short bob and tried to make her feel better about it despite how stunned and appalled I was - I got through this shaking, I was shell shocked by the whole experience and Anthony's aggression, but needed to keep it together for my kid. The manager, Sasha, came out and she was very nice and apologetic, but frankly this whole situation makes me question Anthony's mental health, sobriety and the safety of his clients. His destructive, hostile and vile behavior towards a child was frightening. My daughter's hair will take 2-3 years to grow out. The hair cut was supposed to be $275-$400, in retrospect, there isn't a price I wouldn't pay to undo what was done. The photo shows what her hair looked like before Anthony hacked it off and...
Read moreSo this review is based on a first time experience here with Bianca as my colorist. After waiting 6months for an appointment I am left with highlights I have to redo. She was distracted and rude to her assistant the whole time. Juggling 4 other clients. I was charged hundreds of dollars extra for âtonerâ and products that were given to me for âfreeâ. I left with wet hair about to leave for holiday and when it dried I realized after all that she didnât highlight at all around my face as we discussed. Long story short the colorist dragged on for weeks via social media about making it right until finally when I asked for a refund someone at the salon wrote me speaking of some policy that isnât posted anywhere or mentioned at all basically saying âsorryâ. Really guys?? Step up your game - word gets out fast and you are not the only - or the best game in town. So disappointing. Beware of this place. Youâll have to go 5 times to get one full highlight
Itâs been months after I got zero response from this salon. I am fighting the credit card charge and now out of the blue they are trying to confirm some appointment even though I canceled the one next one after it was clear this is a scam. Just another way to try at a money grab. Come on guys. You are now just being stupid. If someone has a terrible experience probably not great business practice to ignore them and try to charge...
Read moreMy hair colorist (Melinda) and cutter (Glenn) are amazing. UNFORTUNATELY, the salon and its managerial staff need signifiant improvement. The salon is freezing cold The music is too loud. The manager (Sasha) is dismissive, rude, and defensive. After spending $900 - I walked out with the sniffles, a headache, and wet hair. What an unpleasant experience at a very expensive hair salon. In response to your reply : a) my hair was wet underneath (and my blow dry by Glenn was canceled because he left the salon before my appointment (despite me scheduling my cut and color according to his schedule), b) your alternative colorist was one note and unable to do color my hair according to my request, c) the temperature is too cold for your clients who are wearing smocks and have wet hair - Natasha offered me a blanket after the fact so I suspect I am not the only one who finds the salon too cold - another client who was freezing also got a smock to warm her up so I guess there were no blankets available - staff (including Natasha who was wearing a cashmere sweater and coat) wear jackets and sweaters because they are freezing, and d) Natasha said Andy likes the salon cold and loud like an adult Disney Land...altho I have not ever seen him at the...
