If I could give this location negative stars I would. Almost every time I go to this location there's an issue. Today I had placed 3 orders. (One of the orders was only a drink, and the reason for 3 orders it was for multiple people) it took almost 25 minutes for me to receive the food from the 1st order, then another 10 minutes for the second to arrive. (When I pulled in i had pushed the button to ask for a drink tray and let them know I had multiple orders so they wouldn't have to make multiple trips. After they answered 3 other cars that pulled up to order after I already pushed the button they greeted me and told me to hold on and never got back to me.) By the time I received my 2nd order I noticed some of the items were missing, and only received half a thing of fries. I asked the carhop about it and have her a$3 tip. She brought out a drink tray and said she'd go check on my other items. 10 more minutes passed and I asked her again as she was walking in and told her I was getting my husbands lunch which he had been on for 20 min by this point. 5 more minutes passed so I pushed the button and mentioned I had been waiting 15 min for the rest of my food and wanted to know how much longer it would be....I was just waiting on a cherry linemade, fries and small shake.... Then the same female came out and I had to tell her for the 4th time what I was missing. I waited for over an hour for a foot long, 2 cheeseburgers, fries, tator tots, 3 drinks and 2 small shakes. By the time I got to my husband for his lunch all the food was soggy and cold, and the drinks were watered down due to having the heater on since it was cold and rainy.
It was not a lunch or dinner rush, and I was not the only ones there having issues with waiting even tho they weren't that busy. Considering I had multiple carhops come and ask me if whatever they had was my order, and after asking the few other cars that were there they walked back in with the food, probably 3 or 4 times with different orders. Which wouldn't surprise me if people ordered then left because of having to wait. If I hadn't paid online I would of done the same.
Every single time I've gone to this location there is a ridiculously long wait, even during the times I'm the only car there and just getting a drink. 90% of the time if I order food it's wrong or missing things. I only decided to write a review this time, because the trip today was so frustrating my anxiety was through the roof by the time I left I almost wrecked. I've never been as stressed in my life, and definitely not getting food. I wasn't rude once to any of the employees because it does no good, plus it's a ugly attitude trait. I hope that whomever runs or owns this location sees this, and do some massive retraining, hiring, firing whatever needs to be done. This sonic location is a complete joke and has very incompetent employees. If you've ever got into it with your spouse and after screaming at the top of your lungs, slamming/throwing shit, crying then one of you leaving it kicking the other out cuz u left like you were just done, and that totally draining/stressed,/overwhelmed/heavy feeling u have afterwards..... That is exactly what today left me feeling like.... And I know everyone has so u can relate. So unless feeling like that is something ur goin for I would very strongly advise u to go somewhere else.
Only reason I go to this location is right by my husbands work and he likes peanut butter master shakes. Today was the last time I'll ever go to this location and would rather drive to Derby to get...

The other big challenge was the touch screens and card readers not functioning well. Acvidentally combining orders after long screen freezes.
On wedn night at 8pm the cookstaff and carhops struggled to get ten orders correct and onto 10 seperate bills. I think some of the challenge was the difficulty hearing to order. There didnt seem to be a manager on site to deal with ordering challenges . It wasnt just equipment challenges; one member of our grp used the app to order 2 meals and they didnt get either of those orders correct either. We eventually settled for what food we got and decided that the downtown sonic was no longer on the list of places our weekly meeting would consider. The food we got was delish btw. Everyone who ordered burgers was delighted. Fried mozza was great. French fry quantities seemed "dinky" at best. And we had to ask for more napkins. My large drink had too much ice and barely any soda to help wash down my dinner. If I order for my family or self that never get the order correct or on a large family order has not been able to get what was ordered at speaker, today I had repeated order ( 4/ four) times after waiting in line for a unusual long time till I was served I was repeated by window person on order and was not what I ordered, he was close but not what I wanted and paid for, I was going to refuse the whole order but time was ticking and decided to go with the whole order!
