My girlfriend and I stopped at Wendy's downtown in Wichita Saturday September 18,2021. The whole experience was so disappointing the dinning room was empty but extremely dirty, the women's bathroom was disgusting obviously it had not been cleaned that day. There was coffee grounds in the trash can. The floors had not been cleaned in days. The soft drink dispenser was dirty. I sanitized our table before we sat down. My friend ordered a hamburger, I had the spicy chicken nuggets which were over cooked. The service was slow but the drive thru was busy and I saw just 3 employees. Overall it was not a good experience. The entire building needs a good cleaning. That evening I spoke to my friend to tell her I was sick and I wanted to see if she was ill also and she was. We had headaches and was nauseated and chills,no vomiting but would have felt better if I could. In all fairness we could have picked up a bug somewhere else but this the only place we had some food.Needless to say we will not be returning. Whoever owns this franchise needs to shut it down for a couple of days and do deep cleaning. But at least the young man at the counter...
Read moreI visit the location at 555 South Broadway every Tuesday evening on my way to a weekly event. I have come in lobby, I have gone through the drive thru, and I've done mobile orders all with the same results. The person taking my order doesn't make any eye contact and barely speaks with me. They closed the window in the middle of a sentence. Nobody says hello or makes me feel welcome in any way. There have been many times when I've gone through after placing a mobile order and nobody spoke a single word to me through the entire transaction. They open the window and look at me. I tell them I have a mobile order and what my name is. They snap the window shut. a while later an arm comes out the window holding a bag. I take the bag and leave. I realize this is just fast food but some pleasantries would be nice. Taking a moment to say hello or greet me at the window or tell me how much my order is or thanking me for my business is the minimum expectation. I have managed fast food restaurants for many years and I have worked the drive thru as well as all other positions. It's not that hard to treat customers at least like people. I won't be...
Read moreOrdered food at drive thru including Junior bacon cheeseburger. There was someone training (Miguel), so we were asked to speak slower (by trainer, Zaylee). When approaching window, we noticed on the receipt we were charged for a double bacon classic, not a JBC. (it’s a $3 difference, so we raised it) When asking for JBC, Zaylee insisted “I was on the headphones and you ordered the double bacon classic.” We said we did not. She said “I heard you. So you say I’m lying? Because that’s what you said”. We proceeded to just ask for the JBC. She gave an attitude with running the credit card back. I have never seen such “the customer is wrong” attitude. With customer service, you don’t accuse anyone of lying. You just correct the order. I am truly disappointed if this location allows this type of behavior from its employees, especially ones that are training others. We were left speechless by the service we received. We will not be returning to...
