Today I got to the counter and asked for two slices of cheese pizza to go and then I paid. And I even left a tip. Then after waiting for like ten minutes, the guy who prepares the order calls my name (which usually means my order is ready) and he asks me what I ordered which doesn't seem like such a big deal but he shouldn't have had to ask me. He should've recieved a ticket that had my order on it. So I told him my order and was like, "I don't understand, why are you asking me what my order is when you should have the ticket". So then I'm waiting 5 more minutes before someone tells me that they only charged me for one slice so I have to wait longer for them to heat up the second slice and I have to pay for it. I decided to just take the one slice because I was already irritated. Plus, why should I have to pay towards the second slice when the cashier is the one who butchered my order and I had already wasted money on a tip which they clearly did not deserve. Anyway, this is not the first time I've walked out of Dimeo's irritated by their service but it'll be the last because this time I left so irritated that I lost my appetite. They have some of the best pizza but the waiting time is unjustifiably long and the service isn't that good. I've been a frequent customer for over a year but after today and all of my other bad experiences at Dimeo's, I am definitely...
Read moreSo my brother knows I'm a foodie and suggested this place for what he considered the "Best Pizza". While visiting the city I decided to try it. I walked in and was not greeted. I stood at the register and under a sign labeled takeout order/pick up. A women was at the counter assuming she would be taking my order and right with me. I'm a super patient person considering the fact I work in the service industry as well. The only person who said hello was the safe streets Ambassador. Finally another patron walk in and I watched as she was immediately greeted and her order taken by another worker who walked over and immediately made sure she was taken care of regardless if she was preoccupied with her phone conversation or not. I asked "will I be next?" Still not acknowledged. It wasn't race or anything social it's just the people speak to who they want and service people however they like which in my experience like they don't care for your business at all. My 7byear old enjoyed the pizza but the service left a bad taste in my mouth to even want to eat my slice. Ove tasted goof pizza but I will not pay slfor poor service just because. This is what Delaware had to stop doing-Mediocre food and poor service...
Read moreI arrived at the restaurant. No greeting from the person who was working the counter. I watched as the same person held a lengthy conversation with another patron. After about 5-7 minutes, he greeted me and took my order. I ordered French fries, the cost of $7. I asked how long it would take for the order as I needed to be somewhere else, I was advised 5 minutes. I excused myself to their restroom, which was very clean,I came back after 5 minutes. 8 minutes later, I had to inquire about my order and was told another couple of minutes. I need to note that the restaurant was not packed full of patrons. There were not a lot of people having already ordered or waiting to order. The employees that were visible to the order area were talking and laughing amongst themselves.
However, there was a couple that was finishing their dine in meal, that the employee who waited on me, was very attentive to, kind and friendly with as they finished their meal and inquired about a Canoli. This is not the service I have come to know from DiMeo's. I have been a fan patron for years, and this experience definitely has changed my feelings on if I will continue to patronize their...
