If you’re ever in Wilmington, Delaware and looking for some soulful island vibes—look no further than Nicely’s Jamaican Restaurant on the corner of Fourth & Tatnall I pulled up and got the veggie platter with steamed cabbage, colorful greens, and sweet plantains. And let me tell you… the greens? Phenomenal. The plantains? Sweet like sugar. And that cabbage? Hit the spot. This spot is officially SUCKER FREE VEGAN CERTIFIED. Support local. Eat good. Stay sucker free. Food is incredible! Got two large plates and housed it. The oxtail is so tender and falls off the bone and the sauce is perfection, allows the oxtail to shine! The jerk pork is only available on Friday and Saturday and is a must get. The pork is fork tender, not dry, good mix of fat and meat with a seasoned jerk crust that is flavorful and lightly spicy. Also the beef patty was very well done with flaky crust and well seasoned and evenly filled beef. Plantains are less sweet than I'm used to but collards, cabbage and rice and peas were all great sides. 10000/10 would come back

Small hole on the wall Jamaican restaurant. Had the curry goat and it was pretty tasty. It did have bones in it though FYI. They have a small eating area inside but it'a more of a take it and go style restaurant. I wouldn't hesistate to come bacl and try what else is offered here.

Nicely’s Jamaican Restaurant, my opinion in three words.. Best of Delaware!! I ordered the jerk chicken and the curry goat dinner this evening from Nicely’s, via #Doordash pick-up. I must say, I was floored by the perfect seasoning and freshness. The perfectly, perfect cooked dinner’s combined with the mouth watering flavor explosion within every bite, was absolutely AMAZING!! I was so floored, I had to inform #doordash, as well as call the restaurant to thank the chef and the Nicely’s team, for not only superb quality but also a great customer experience. Super clean atmosphere and friendly staff, complimented the delicious meals. The absolute deliciousness along with the large portions, is a great value. Without saying any names, I went to another Jamaican restaurant this past week, the food tasted like it was prepared days earlier, and was just reheated (super dry, no flavor, small portions), I was extremely disappointed. That was the first and last time I would order from there. Nicely’s quality and management has earned my loyalty. I will never go to another Jamaican restaurant other then Nicely’s when in town. Bravo Nicely’s, bravo, well done!! 👏 😎 I highly recommend this establishment as your go-to for top quality Jamaican food!!

Two weeks later, once again,...

This place is ridiculous. I called and was told for a medium oxtails it’s $15 and that the rice isn’t included it’s a side. Never in my life have I heard of before. When you order oxtails and rice it comes as a whole meal. That wasn’t even the worst part the platter wasn’t even a full amount. And the cabbage was so mushy, the they included hard carrots, corn and canned steam beans in the cabbage. The rice was flavorless and the oxtails. They didn’t even put enough sauce to over the oxtails so I was left with dry rice and beans. The meat of the oxtails didn’t fall off the bone, it was very tough. Then at the end they changed me $16 not $15 when on their website it says medium for $15 and that’s what I was told over the phone.( oh it also say the baggage and rice comes with it) but when I called and told her what her own website said I was told that it don’t matter the rice is still a side. I told her that maybe de should update her menu since she wants to change up on a phone call. Then there was mold on the end of my boyfriend’s...

Service was my only upside and compliment. Prices are not reasonable and food is not the greatest. I have had much better for lower pricing. I was not impressed and little upset about spending $13 on a small oxtail platter that had very little food. My local Jamaican Restaurant charges $10 for a small (larger container/more food), food quality is excellent and you get your monies worth. I also didn't appreciate paying $2.50 for a juice that would be $1.79 at my local Jamaican restaurant. Not the right area to charge those prices and definitely not tasty enough to charge at that rate! They will not last long if they don't get some better tasting food at a better quality. Not quite close enough to downtown (Market Street) to charge at that rate. I get the concept but carried out...
