Chewing on a rock is not what I expected here. The food here is excellent, fresh, healthy, not salty, and tastes great. I ordered an egg skillet meal for lunch, and I was really enjoying it until I bit into what turned out to be a tiny rock in the potatoes. I work as an engineer, so I know things can go wrong in any system. I approached this incident respectfully. I let the shift manager know, and she said she’d bring the regular manager over. But he didn't come over to our table, it was just pure avoidance. The shift manager wasn't sure how a rock ended up in the potatoes, but did refund our entire meal, and that was the right thing to do. But the overall tone was strange, almost as if they assumed my husband and I had placed the rock there ourselves. I felt like there was no care here about a rock in their food & the possible damage which could be caused to a customer. There was a light apology by the shift manager but no one asked if I had been injured. Later we caught the manager as he was passing by our table and he said the shift manager took care of the situation and was authorized to do so. And that was all he said. no apology, no concern, nothing. 3 stars because the food was great except for the rock and the atmosphere is nice. But if something goes wrong, don’t expect a thoughtful or gracious response from the manager. That’s the part...
Read morePlaced my dine in order at 10:54am, but did not receive my food until 11:50 am almost an hour later. I had to go to the register to ask for my food 30 minutes after ordering because I saw almost every person that order after me had already gotten their food and some were even done already. When I got to the register after waiting in a 10 minute line, I was informed they never printed our receipt so it never got made. When speaking to who I assume is the manager he was very doubtful of our situation and when I asked him when the food would be out because we had already been waiting, he said “well we have two tickets ahead.” we had already been waiting for 40 minutes and would rather grab something else, so we asked for a refund. He then offered the food free from charge as he realized we were very frustrated. We waited for the food and got it in to go containers. We wanted to stay and enjoy a good meal but it was just a very frustrating situation. Who ever I spoke to was very condescending and didn’t really seem to care about our time. He only cared because I expressed my frustration. Food was roughly made but good. Would recommend just hope they don’t forget...
Read moretl;dr, Get coffee here! And a cookie! Now read on.
When it's not busy, the tables are cozy and quiet. When the tables are full, there's plenty of room for to-go customers.
The decor is simple and fun, just enough to make the space exciting without taking away from the calm.
The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable, and eager with a quick explanation about different coffee; I had no idea what white coffee was before visiting!
The coffee is tasty, I usually prefer flavored lattes, and have enjoyed the various combos on their displayed menu. Prices are similar to Starbucks, but for much better coffee, well worth the premium cost. The pastries are all fresh and delicious! I've tried several and haven't found one I didn't like. My favorites so far have been the cinnamon roll and peanut butter cookie. I haven't tried the food yet, but it all smells so delicious! I'm sure it tastes as good as it...
