I honestly don't know who the lady was cooking for 3rd shift tonight but she was absolutely horrible and extremely disrespectful. I had worked at this waffle house for over 3 years so I myself understand that people get irritated. But the way she was behaving tonight had absolutely nothing to do with her being frustrated. I was waiting on my ride to come get me so I had a trash bag of clothes with me. From the second I walked into the restaurant she was very rude to me. She would stand there and laugh with other customers. But she was extremely hateful towards me. I know that I didn't look my best. And I had a trash bag with me that made me look homeless. But by no means at all does that give her the right to treat me the way she did. I even bought food and I wanted to just sit down real quick in the waiting area and just eat my food real fast. She completely refused to even let me eat anywhere in the restaurant. She made me go eat my food outside In the cold and I had no choice but to sit on the ground as I ate. I normally never write post complaining about a company because I understand that stuff happens. But she completely embarrassed me in front of all the customers there. And once she was finished she then proceeded to laugh at me while talking to a regular. I will never eat there again that store has lost any potential sales from me,my 5 friends that were there and also my family. If I would of treated any customers like that when I was employed there I wouldn't even get a chance to explain myself I would certainly be out of a job. Waffle house has for the longest time held customer satisfaction at the top of the list. But she clearly didn't care at all. The servers didn't do a thing wrong and actually tried to help me. But she was apparently to good to show any respect at all to me. For her to be extremely nice to absolutely everyone else while she treated me like trash was extremely embarrassing and so off putting to the point where customers just plain left and refused...
Read moreI have eaten at Waffle House every so often for nearly my entire life, as most South Eastern Americans do. It has always been notorious for providing you with a hot, home-style breakfast for an affordable price at any time, night or day. As we all know, prices have been steadily climbing since good ole’ Joe entered office, but entitlement has reached an all time high. Having said this, my wife walked into this location to place a takeout order of just one meal, a hash brown bowl. When she was rung out at nearly $20 and then ASKED FOR A TIP, she proceeded to question why the price was so much. The already overpriced, previously $10 but now $14+, hash brown bowl had a %20 “To-Go” fee added to her order. They claim it is “%10 for the cook and %10 for the person taking your order”????? I’m honestly enthralled by the audacity of not only the employees but Waffle House as a whole. Forcing a %20 tip on takeout orders that require no service is an entitled scam, but then removing it once confronted about it is even more sketchy. She was presented with a tip screen after both totals, and still refused to tip due to the lack of transparency while feeling embarrassed and violated. Tipping culture is WAY OUT OF HAND, no one DESERVES a tip and it is your employers job to compensate you properly. If you do not provide an actual service beyond what you HAVE TO DO, and bare minimum at that, you did not earn a tip? I know for a fact I will not being taking my business to a Waffle House ever again, the prices alone have deterred me but this scandalous activity is something I stay far away from. I have talked to several others who have had similar experiences with the same and even other locations, so the word is spreading faster...
Read moreMy hubby ordered plain hash browns, a sweet tea, and a Deluxe Double Cheese Burger, it didn't have cheese on it when it came to the table so we had to ask for it. I ordered a waffle with two scrambled eggs and a coffee. Waffle came to the table cold because they set it aside on the counter while my hubby's food and my eggs were cooking. So we had to ask them for another waffle to be made. While waiting for my waffle, I noticed that there was a build up of waffle batter around and under the waffle iron.. Had to also ask for coffee and iced tea to be refilled (which the waitress did not bother to put any additional ice in my hubby's cup) and to ask waitress to explain a 45 cent charge which was for lettuce and tomato on his burger(there was nothing stating that there would be an extra charge for the lettuce and tomato). Aside from that, 2 of the employees were being very loud almost to the point of yelling with their conversation. I can understand yelling out food orders, but food wasn't the topic of conversation... We are extremely disappointed with the food, the service, the way the food cook space is kept and have made the decision to no longer eat at Waffle House ever again... I work in a restaurant myself so there are somethings that I can understand, but this was just beyond...
