Disappointed! I got the Corn beef hash skillet and was shocked as it advertised as two eggs and came with one, when I asked the response was pitiful! The ladies behind the counter responded that it only comes with one egg and they have "no idea" why the photos depicted two eggs??? It was extremely dry and flavorless, sad because the missing egg would have definitely made a difference in the dish by adding that much needed moisture. The dish was $12.99 so for one egg over a single scoop of hash placed on dry fried potato squares (hashbrowns ?) the dish is way overpriced. To me this honestly comes off as they changed it to cut cost and have no regard for their customers. Some of the other food looked good but again high price for what you're getting and dont expect service as it's set up like fast food counter rather than restaurant . Yes this is a tourist area so I guess taking advantage of that is what goes on in the restaurants here but if you're advertising something that's what you should be giving your guests or change your menu to what you're actually giving someone for their money. Lame excuses just leave a customer with more disappointment...... In hindsight I should have asked for my money back as I did not get what I paid for but I had high hopes it was going to be delicious,...
Read moreWe live 12 miles away in Bryson City and wanted to try this place for a while. We definitely were impressed. Was very clean, staff was cheerful, and asked if there was anything else we needed after we sat down. Food was hot, delicious, and very large portions. Prices were very reasonable compared to many other restaurants within in a twenty mile radius. Before we went here looked at some of the bad reviews and all I can say is they were wrong. Please go try this quaint little spot for breakfast or lunch and judge for yourself oh and btw our bill was only $20.00 + we tipped in the tip jar at counter. My husband had the 3 large pancakes and a thick sliced fried bologna, I had the country fried steak and biscuit with the homemade gravy and coffee . Just to show the comparison we ate at our local diner yesterday and had the same meal and it was 40.00 with tip. Mabel's will now be our go to for breakfast since it's only 12...
Read moreI eat here almost every day. Breakfast and lunch. Breakfast I like to get the sausage cheese biscuit or the mabels breakfast. Both are 10/10. The waffle and pancakes are good too! For lunch their burgers are so darn good. Some of the best burgers I have ever ever ever had. It’s my guilty pleasure to get a burger from Mabel’s and my eyes roll to the back of my head almost everytime. The breakfast hash brows (not the shredded) but the patty isn’t very good, they always come out way too oily, undercooked and not good. I hope they change them because I love me a good hash brown. Now their shredded hash brows and cubed hash brows are great! Especially the cubed 🥴🤤 all in all I highly recommend this place. The food, the staff, the...
