My partner Liz and I recently attended the Apron Up Cooking Class in Hanoi, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish! We opted for the Daily class and were thrilled with the dishes we learned to make: Pho, Bun Cha (BBQ pork noodles), Fried Spring Roll, papaya salad, and the famous Hanoi egg coffee. Our instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, guiding us through each step with ease. The class began with a visit to a local market, where we handpicked fresh ingredients, immersing ourselves in the vibrant culture of Hanoi. Back in the kitchen, the environment was welcoming and well-organized, making it easy for us to follow along and enjoy the process. The highlight for me was mastering the art of making Pho, with its rich and aromatic broth. Liz particularly enjoyed the hands-on experience of crafting perfect Fried Spring Rolls. The Bun Cha was another standout, with its flavorful BBQ pork and refreshing herbs. The papaya salad added a wonderful, tangy contrast to the meal, and the Hanoi egg coffee was a delightful end to our culinary journey. What truly made this class special was the warmth and enthusiasm of our instructor, who made us feel like seasoned chefs. The small group setting allowed for personalized attention and a friendly, collaborative atmosphere. We left the class not only with a full stomach but also with new skills and recipes to bring home. If you’re in Hanoi and looking for a memorable and authentic cooking experience, I highly recommend Apron Up Cooking Class. Five stars all the way!

I had the most amazing time joining Apron Up Cooking Class with Emmy! The menu was fantastic—Bún Chả, Beef Phở, Papaya Salad, Spring Rolls, and Egg Coffee—a true feast of authentic flavors. Emmy guided us step by step, breaking down each recipe so it felt approachable while still keeping the dishes true to tradition. Her teaching style is warm and encouraging, making the class both fun and informative. I especially appreciated the little cooking tips she shared, from balancing flavors in the dipping sauce to getting the broth just right for the phở. Preparing everything from scratch, buying from the market, gave me a whole new appreciation for Vietnamese cuisine. The class was very hands-on, and Emmy made sure everyone was involved and comfortable. By the end, not only did we enjoy a delicious meal together, but I also left confident that I could recreate these dishes at home. If you’re looking for a cooking experience that’s authentic, interactive, and absolutely delicious, I can’t recommend Emmy’s class enough. The highlight for me was sipping the velvety egg coffee at the end—such a perfect finish!

We had a fantastic experience at Apron Up Cooking Class in Hanoi! A special thank you to our wonderful host, May, who made the whole day enjoyable and informative. We loved meeting another group of travelers while preparing delicious dishes like egg coffee, bun cha, nam ran, nom du du, and pho. Although it was a group class, May was super accommodating in transitioning some of the dishes into vegetarian options, which made the experience even better. The cooking studio was just a short walk from the local market, where we learned all about the fresh herbs and spices that are central to Vietnamese cooking. May also shared some fascinating historical insights about the dishes and Vietnam’s food culture, which really added depth to the class. Overall, it was a highlight of our trip, and we highly recommend Apron Up for anyone looking to dive into Vietnamese cuisine! It was very easy to connect by WhatsApp via the website and make a booking for the same day. I messaged at 7am and was replied to by 8am - very very good communication. Thankyou so much!

We had such a fun experience at the cooking class with Vy! From the moment we arrived, everything was well organized, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure we felt comfortable and at ease throughout the session. The kitchen was clean and well-prepared, which made it easy to focus and enjoy the cooking process. Vy, our instructor, was absolutely lovely, always smiling, patient, and very knowledgeable. She explained each step in great detail, making it easy for everyone to follow along, regardless of their cooking experience. What made the class even more special was Vy’s enthusiasm and the way she shared not just recipes, but also the culture and stories behind the dishes. It was such a great way to learn something new while having fun. We truly enjoyed every part of the experience and walked away not only with new cooking skills but also a greater appreciation for the culture. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, hands-on experience with a wonderful...
