Bún Bò Huế Cô Ly — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Hot, delicious, full bowl of bun bo hue with toppings. I ordered a đầy đủ (60k) and đặc biệt (special at 80k) for two people. The special contained additional slices of beef on top. The best topping was the piece of skin and bone-in pork which was tender, unctuous, and melt in your mouth goodness. The pig blood curd/jelly rectangle had a good texture and bite. There were also sliced limes and a fresh herb platter. Additional seasoning and condiments available on table. I appreciated that the broth was not too salty so i could adjust to my taste preferences. Their sate chili sauce was also very nice. The noodle soup bowls are very deep, and I barely finished my bowl--left absolutely blissed out :) and stuffed. I don't understand how anyone could rate this lower than 4 stars. Friendly, efficient service with small tables to sit inside. Clear pricing board and fans to cool you down. They also sell fresh spring rolls, lau, and drinks (soymilk and more). Personally, I felt like it was a 4.5 star meal and would return again. It's not the best bowl I've ever eaten as I prefer a bit more lemongrass, but it was a very good bowl which provided solid...

I absolutely loved this place. We came here for breakfast 3 days in a roll and I failed to take a picture because I was busy shoving the noodles down my face as soon as they are served. I love the different toppings. We ordered “full bowl” (60k option) every time, it had a little bit of everything as toppings: beef, pork, pork knuckles, blood tofu and two other things with the texture of meatballs. (And they are all delicious). They also provide pickled peppers, fresh peppers or pepper sauce/paste for you to spice things up. The restaurant does get a bit busy during lunch time, so the service might be a bit slow. But the staffs are very friendly, constantly refreshing the lime slices, peppers and napkins...

Worth a try! The beef broth tastes rich and herby! Stronger than beef pho. The blood cubes do not have a lot of flavour and has the texture of jelly, but it is not my thing. The beef innards are not my thing as well. But I'm sure it is to other people's taste!

We ordered 1 regular bowl (40k) and 1 spring rolls (25k). Then they gave us 2 different bowls of noodles? We asked what they are and both are apparently bat thruong. They said the spring rolls is sold out and didn't tell us and just replaced it with another bowl of bat thruong I guess. Luckily we could communicate to ask them to take the special-looking bowl back.
