Train Street is one of those ultra-touristy activities that sounds ridiculous but ends up being ridiculously fun. The attraction of Train Street is the blend of cold booze and (potentially) hot death. A very narrow corridor of bars and restaurants flanks train tracks for visitors to come THISCLOSE to a speeding train twice a day. Barkers do their best to convince foreigners to sit at their very unique tables with their very unique drinks and their very unique menu.
Spoiler Alert: They're mostly not very unique.
We try to avoid the folks whose entire job it is to steer you into their bars and restaurants, but something about the calm approach from the team at Chu Chu Railway changed our minds. The entire staff is extremely attentive (which, duh, they will get terrible reviews if one of their patrons gets smashed by the train!). Jenn was introduced to the Pineapple & Pomegranate Strongbow cider and Scott enjoyed local draft beer while we joked with the staff and waited the train to whiz by.
