We came at lunch time after seeing the fantastic reviews online and felt we had to check it out based on this! Was quiet, only 2 other couples in here with us. It’s a two story place that could easily seat 40+ so clearly gets busy in the evenings. My partner wanted to order the Vietnamese favourite bun cha, I ordered the poached chicken with ginger and fried chicken spring rolls to share. Food, although was on the pricier side was fantastic and we both really enjoyed our dishes. Waitress Sim, was really attentive and even made sure she helped my partner by putting the wifi code in for her to her phone and helping her by showing her how to roll the wraps properly. I thought this was a great touch. Little did we know at the end after asking if her service was good today, she asked if she could take my girlfriends phone and took her to their trip advisor page so she could write a 5 star review for her. If she wouldn’t have done this, I would have given them a 5 star review everything was great but this was a real negative and is going to put customers off in future if they continue, as I have seen others comment that have had it done to them, to do this. Ask politely if you could leave a review if your service has been up to standard, no problem but taking to the page and almost watching over while they write it. Not good. Go for the great food and service but beware what will come at the end of your meal.

We just had the most amazing meal and experience here, the food and service and atmosphere all were fantastic. It was so good I literally wanted to shout to people passing in the street telling them to also eat here! We had the bun cha, the fried eggplant and dumpling cakes. All of the food was outstanding, definitely our favourite meal from our time in Vietnam. Daisy/Chi was the most lovely waitress, she was so friendly and spoke such good english. She was very helpful in recommending what we should eat to get a taste of the local cuisine, and also helped me improve my pronunciation which was lovely as I have been trying to learn and better my speaking of Vietnamese. She made us feel very warm and welcome, and we shared lots of smiles together. Finished the meal off with an egg coffee which was wonderful too. What was really unique about our experience here is that Daisy shared with us how to best create and enjoy the food, which we had not been shown in other places.. from how to wrap up the ingredients of the bun cha to how to best enjoy the egg coffee, her sharing of knowledge really enhanced our experience and made it feel very authentic. Overall, we had such a great experience here thanks to the lovely Daisy and of course, the amazing food 😊 Would highly recommend!!!

During our trip to Vietnam, my boyfriend and I decided to visit this restaurant based on a recommendation from our hotel staff. Its convenient location, right across from our hotel, made it an easy choice. I can confidently say that this was our best find in Vietnam! The food quality was outstanding, with generous portion sizes, and the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming. Over the course of our seven-day trip—five days in Hanoi and two in Sapa—we ended up dining here five times because it quickly became our favorite spot. The chicken pho was bursting with flavor, truly setting it apart from the pho we tried at three other restaurants. Personally, I couldn't get enough of the fried chicken spring rolls; I ordered them every time. Other dishes that stood out were the beef fried rice and the chicken cashew stir-fry. A special shout-out to Mr. Win for making our experience even more enjoyable with his fun and accommodating demeanor! Can’t wait to be back in Vietnam and eat at Hoang’s! If you’re in Hanoi, this is a restaurant you absolutely cannot miss!

We went to Hoang’s restaurant for dinner, and when I tell you it was some of the best food of my life, I ain’t cappin’. We ordered the mango and strawberry smoothies, chicken spring rolls, bun cha, and beef fried rice with pineapple and cheese. The smoothies were fresh, and not as sweet as Western drinks, but I personally loved it. It was sweetened by the fruit itself and didn’t seem to contain additional sweetened which made it just the perfect amount of sweet for me. The spring rolls were some of the most delicious, perfectly crispy spring rolls I’ve had. The bun cha was absolutely delicious, each ingredient was incredibly fresh. The fried rice was the most ‘ok’ of the dishes. It wasn’t as stand out compared to everything else, but still good. Pamela was our server and was absolutely fabulous. She was very kind and showed us how to put the bun cha together.

I recently had an unforgettable Vietnamese lunch, and it was nothing short of exceptional! The bun cha was absolutely divine—perfectly grilled pork patties paired with thin rice noodles, all bathed in a deliciously savory broth. Every bite was a symphony of flavors, with the tangy dipping sauce balancing the richness of the meat. TT, our waiter, say next to us to teach us how to eat the bun cha. The real surprise, though, was the beetle leaf rolls. They were simply outstanding! The leaves added a fragrant, earthy note to the tender, seasoned filling, creating a unique and irresistible combination. Each roll was bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned and so fresh that they practically melted in my mouth. The meal was a perfect reflection of Vietnamese cuisine—vibrant, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. I can’t recommend it enough!

We came to this restaurant without doing research on it and found its customer service, food and ambiance to be good. The staff gave us time to decide on our selection of food, and he came over without us calling on him. This was being attentive. The food was nice. Really value for money, and because of our higher exchange rate advantage, I felt a bit guilty calling the food prices cheap. The restaurant was not crowded, maybe because we were visiting at a time of post-pandemic and only 30% of the visitors were back. So, there was no queue and we were seated immediately on deciding this was the place to have dinner. The deco is modern, clean (including the washroom), functional with lots of elbow space to get comfortable to its surroundings. For these, 2 Stars for food, and 1 Star for atmosphere.
