Mango Restaurant & Coffee — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Staff made us wait 15mins just to get a menu. And the restaurant was pretty empty at the time. About 4 staff available and only tending to one table with about 5-6 people.

Fried rice was subpar for 105Kd Tried to charge us for 2 drinks when we only bought one and they were arguing and pushing that we ordered 2. :c

Upon complaining, no one tended too. I raised my concern and walked up to the counter and I was left alone for about 5 mins.

No staff was really available to help. They were pretty moody too and not hospitable...idk because we've been to several restaurants already so I assume it's not the culture. I also tried considering maybe they are tired. Buttttttt we're paying customers. We're not eating for free :c

The only available food when we went in was noodles and rice. 😅

Trend chasing is one if the worst sorts of brand associations to get tagged with, and that is what Mango immediately makes me think of. They started put trying catch the steakhouse wave late in the game, then almost immediately pivoted to try and run down the beer club scene. There's no indication the public has been impressed with either effort.

I actually like the vibe of the place. It is tastefully done with a lot of natural materials. It is comfortable. After a certain hour, they obliged to succomb to the Hanoi music hysteria where no matter the crowd size or demographic, dance music must be played. It would be nice if the city would get the f#@k over that.

The beer section here is respectable. Most of the really good stuff is very expensive import bottles. They could stand to get some better draught options, and local beers are available that fit the bill. Could be a decent place. A bit...

One of the worst restaurants I've been to. The service is absolutely rude and will talk behind your back about you. I've been here once and never again. The prices are too high for the actual service going from 90k up to 250k+. We wanted to order some pork belly which wasn't available eventho we came around 12:30am. The waitress didn't bring me my drink which I had to order a second time and adding on to it an annoyed scoff from the waitress. Once we wanted to pay we couldn't see anyone available as everyone left TOGETHER into the kitchen talking and chit-chatting. Absolutely rude, wouldn't ever recommend.
