A Culinary Journey at Tung's Kitchen I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tung's Kitchen, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the warm ambiance to the impeccable service and, most importantly, the delectable cuisine, every aspect of my visit was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence. The atmosphere at Tung's Kitchen is both inviting and sophisticated. The tasteful decor and soft lighting create a cozy yet elegant setting, making it an ideal place for a romantic dinner or a celebration with friends and family. The attentive and friendly staff "Na" further enhance the overall dining experience, providing impeccable service without being intrusive. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. Tung's Kitchen offers a menu that seamlessly blends traditional and modern flavors, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise. The variety of dishes ensures there's something for every palate. For the main course, I opted for the Pan Fried Pork Sausages, and it was a true masterpiece. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was as impressive as the taste. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures and tastes, leaving me savoring every moment. What sets Tung's Kitchen apart is their commitment to using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients. It's evident that the chef takes great pride in crafting each dish with precision and care. The menu reflects a dedication to both authenticity and innovation, making it a standout dining destination in Hanoi. In conclusion, Tung's Kitchen is a culinary gem that deserves to be celebrated. Whether you're a food enthusiast seeking bold flavors or someone looking for a memorable dining experience, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. I left Tung's Kitchen with a full stomach, a content heart, and a newfound appreciation for the artistry of exceptional cuisine. I wholeheartedly recommend Tung's Kitchen to anyone in search of a dining experience that transcends the ordinary.

Our first dining experience at Tungs Kitchen was fantastic. We had Kitty looking after us downstairs and look after us she did. With her assistance we ordered an amazing array of food to try and she also showed us how the food should be put together and eaten. Unfortunately it did all come at the same time and wouldn’t fit on our two person table but Kitty quickly moved us to a bigger table where we could eat comfortably. Upon leaving she also gifted me some of their rice paper which doesn’t need a quick soak in water like the ones I have previously used at home. The food and service was fantastic. It was so good that we made sure we came back again. This time we were seated upstairs. Once again the food came quickly and all at once so our table was too small again. I don’t think the young lady understood that we wanted to move to a bigger table and as the dishes wouldn’t fit I asked her to take two away and let us finish the two we ordered for entree first. These dishes were then just sat on a spare table near the stairs till we were ready, so unfortunately cold by the time we got to eat them but still delicious. Kitty asked me to review their Restaurant honestly so that is what I have done. Would have loved for the food to come out slower and at different times so we could take our time sampling their culinary delights. The restaurant would also benefit as being Aussies we love a drink or two with our food and was happy to spend more money the longer we were there 😉 Highly recommend this authentic restaurant, one of the best in Hanoi 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Best meal we’ve had in Vietnam! Everything we ordered was so delicious. We got the chicken spring rolls, beef mince wraps of some kind (they were on the list of special recommended items), the luk luk beef with cashews and fried dried noodles with beef. Everyone who worked there were so friendly and despite it being especially busy, the woman serving us took the time to show us how to make up the beef wraps in the rice paper. We lucked out with our timing as we had no wait for a table but, within 10 minutes, there was a massive queue out the door. So, maybe make a reservation if you’re on a time constraint. However, no matter the wait, it’s well worth it! We’ll definitely be dining here again before we leave. Edit: I just had to say we went a further 3 times before we left Hanoi (which sounds excessive for a 4 day visit to the city, but I can say every time we got completely different dishes from the menu and we’re NEVER disappointed.) I recommend asking the staff what to get. They recognized us each time we came in and always gave us anew suggestions, Kitty was especially helpful and gave us tutorials on how to eat each dish and always gave us a personalized welcome when she saw us come in. Be sure to get the fish or beef from the special menu, the curry and an egg coffee!! Just a few of our favorites ☺️

Our food was delicious and the service was excellent despite being busy with a constant flow of new customers. Without a reservation we had to wait about 40 minutes, but it was well worth it. And there's plenty to do in this neighborhood to kill some time. Window shopping, real shopping or just people watching. We sat down for some tea at a little shop with sidewalk tables and the time flew by. For our dinner we chose grilled fish in banana leaf, southern style dried noodles and stir-fried morning glory w garlic as a veggie side. Everything is served family style to share at the table, so it's good to get some variety. The grilled fish is actually a build-your-own rice paper roll with lettuce, noodles and vegetable garnish, and a sweet and sour dipping sauce. Our server was very kind to take a few minutes to demonstrate the process. It's not difficult and I recommend it for anyone who's an adventurous diner looking for something different to try. The dried noodles aren't really dry as the name might suggest, just served without sauce or broth. Topped with thin sliced beef and bean sprouts, you stir it up while serving and it all comes together quite pleasantly. So, all-in-all an enjoyable dining experience, leaving us satisfied and happy to recommend Tung's Kitchen to anyone visiting Hanoi.

A Perfect Spot for Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine. We were tired and famished when stumbled upon Tung's Kitchen.. What a gem! The staff greeted us warmly and showed good knowledge about vegan and vegetarian diets, offering excellent recommendations. With a menu full of vegetarian options and the flexibility to customize non-veg dishes to our dietary needs, we were spoiled for choice. And let me tell you about their Mekong Delta Style Pancake (from non-veg menu) —it's a must-try! For first-timers like us, the staff patiently demonstrated how to wrap and savor Vietnamese Pancakes—a truly cool experience! Bursting with flavor, it left us craving more! And don't even get me started on their Fried Lotus— it is so fresh and crunchy, it's hard to resist! Our boys couldn't get enough of their customized Pho from the non-veg menu—they practically licked their bowls clean before we had a chance to try. ➡️ Follow my IG @eatsimply02 for more veggies finds.🌱

📍 Easy to find. This resto is located on one end of the P. Hàng Gai, one of the busiest Old Quarter streets, not far from the Ngoc Son Temple (8-10mins walking). 💲 VERY affordable for the high quality of food served. 🍛 Hands down the BEST and most authentic Vietnamese food we tried in Hanoi. We ate at different places for every meal and there truly was no comparison. Highly recommend the Beef Rolled in Wild Betel Leaf dish (6pcs). See the video I posted which shows how to prep and eat it. You can ask the staff to give you plastic gloves otherwise sanitize your hands before digging in! 💁🏻♂️ Service was fantastic. Ask for Duc! He's so kind and helpful. 🪟 Ask to sit on the 2nd floor if you can. The view is nicer. 📶 Free WiFi with a cute password. 🚻 My only comment is I wished the restroom was cleaner (one of my pet peeves) but I survived and so will you ;) The rest of the resto was clean.
