Whilst from Google reviews and pictures of the menu, it seemed like a promising place to spend our last evening in Saigon/HCM to watch the premier league, it quickly became apparent things were not as it seemed.
A large Huda was 50k, which we had decided we were going to have before even leaving our hotel. Upon arrival, we were suggested to have a different beer for twice the price. We declined and ordered our Hudas.
The atmosphere was a good place to watch football with multiple screens, and we took the opportunity to move to a table with a better view of the projector. We were then handed a bill showing we had ordered the more expensive beer, and upon querying we were told we had indeed ordered them and it was our fault for drinking them.
As someone unfamiliar with local beer or local craft beer, we trusted the beer we were served to be the beer we ordered, however this was clearly not the case.
We tried to have a civil discussion with the bar staff, trying to explain we turned down the more expensive beer in favour of a cheap beer, the bar staff stood around us in a threatening way, with one staff member seemingly (admittedly we have no proof) taking photos of us.
There had clearly been a miscommunication, so we offered to split the difference before a different member of staff came in and slammed the bill down on the table demanding we paid the entire amount.
We eventually paid the bill, however the experience was extremely unpleasant and caused us to nervously walk home to our hotel.
Whilst the bar was nice and great for watching sport and drinking, I would suggest being careful of similar tricks. I would say my experience was disappointing, if...

Well, InSaigong Bar has brought that feeling to HCMC over the past few years. It is a place that you will get a drink, a chat and a smile from people that care about the person.
The staff make the atmosphere. I, personally, think that friendly and engaging staff, regardless of their limited language skills, bring a memory, an experience, and a comfort that is not found in other places around HCMC or Vietnam.
You will not have money ripped from you at INSaigong Bar. It is the local with a reputation of looking after its customers and staff.
