I am writing this after testing all best banh mi places in Hoi An (I am banh mi fanatic)
this was really the best vegan banh mi I had in Vietnam the bread is super fresh the choice is super simple, you get one type with all of ingredients conveniently listed in English, you can choose to have no chilli but I recommend to get at least a bit of it as it makes the taste more balanced the reason why this was the best among all vegan banh mi I had is the interesting balance of taste and unbeatable price it’s not a super stuffed banh mi so you might not be full after one, just get two (2 banh mi here will cost you as much as 1 banh mi elsewhere) there is a better vegetarian option in Banh Mi Phuong around the corner but you will wait in longer queue, and there is no vegan option there the lady is super kind and you are supporting a true local vegan street vendor, you don’t have a lot of those in Vietnam!
Pro tips: try this banh mi and then go to Banh Mi Phuong for vegetarian option if you are not vegan but only vegetarian (Phuong has amazing vegetarian banh mi and is really full) if you are a hungry vegetarian, not vegan, your other two best options is Madam (stuffed banh mi with best tofu) or Phuong (stuffed banh mi with best balance of ingredients) still, try this vegan Le Hoi Banh mi - it’s super cheap, delicious and you...

They can give you the real Hoi An signature banh my in a meat-free version, not like these other places put the vegetarian option in the menu but all they can put is just some veggies and eggs, if you're vegan, it's not even for you. And here you are, in the busy bustle of center Hoi An, cheap local eats, bold and flavorful toppings with just the right amount of toppings, it doesn't overflowed (I don't like that when it comes to banh my personally). Don't forget to take soy milk, best combo. She's welcoming and warm. Don't try to charge tourists. Banh my only for 15K while it can be sold with double price. Life saver if you are a fan of banh...
Read moreI have tried Banh Mi in so many places in Vietnam but Mrs. Hoi’s was definitely the highlight, if not by far the best.
This is no doubt the best place to get Vegan Banh Mi in the entire town of Hoi An. We kept coming back and lost count of how many we have had in the month we were here. Crispy, yummy and delicious with fresh herbs, tofu, mushroom and the chili sauce.
But what’s more beautiful is Mrs Hoi keeps the price so affordable for locals and tourists. She wants to make healthy tasty vegan food accessible for all. And you wouldn’t find any other places that offer this quality for this price.
Definitely a must try if you...
