I came to this charming and quaint cafe mainly for the chocolates, to try their famous Mozart balls, but I had no idea what I was in for. I tried the Bach cubes, which were my favorite, as well as the Wolf Block and Doppler Effect. I loved all of them, better than the Mozart Balls, which were marzipan inside. The Bach cubes were truffle like, and brought small boxes back to the States for my my music teachers and family. They loved me for this gift! In my opinion, the last three I mentioned are very rich, unique and the creme de la creme of chocolates in Salzburg! Do not pass up the opportunity to give them a try, but it depends on your tastes I suppose and prior experiences with chocolate. I was more than pleased. The shop attendant who is a middle aged Austrian lady( I am assuming she is Austrian just from her dialect) was extremely rude to me for the minute I entered the shop with my mother!!
I asked her for some some dark chocolate variants and all she said in german was “ look for it yourself! “ . And also we were the only costumers in the shop at that time. Seeing her being rude me and my mom decided to leave the shop and then the lady had the audacity to say “ yeah better leave! “.
I would urge everyone not to visit this shop, you can find the famous “Mozartkugeln” in many other shops in Salzburg.

Perhaps it was because of our race (Korean), but the staff gave us ugly looks and ignored us for a long period-- before serving us very rudely.
