Read moreMy experience at Black Tie was extremely unpleasant. On the fitting day sales representative started off by recommending upgrades. It felt weird as they told me how the original package I purchased would be very uncomfortable. I agreed with an upgrade. However the ski I got was very uncomfortable and I had to stop skiing after two days - never happened to me before. I returned the equipment on my third day at 1pm and had to pay the third day in full as well, which was understandable as that’s Black Tie’s last chance to make money off a customer. To make it worse the refund amount was short and would have stayed off if I didn’t check afterwards. I called to ask for rest of the refund and spent more than 15 minutes on the phone speaking with two representatives to make it right. The second lady was extremely rude, telling me it’s “just human error”. Of course she didn’t apologize and didn’t give me her name. Very poor customer experience despite above average price. There are so many other rentals in village and I had a much better experience elsewhere. I honestly don’t understand where their attitude comes from. I would not...
Read moreThis past weekend, I used Black Tie Ski Rentals of Whistler for the third time. As always, I received service excellence from this company which is why I will almost certainly use them when I next visit Whistler. The team is very friendly, always helpful and knowledgeable. I live in Ontario so my days of skiing in Whistler are very precious to me and I count on Black Tie to ensure I have the right gear for my intermediate skills that is set up appropriately for the snow conditions. The fact that I was able to pick up and drop off the skis very close to the part of the village where you get on the gondola makes this service perfect; no need to haul your skis and poles to your hotel. The equipment itself is high quality and in great condition. I rented boots this time too and Black Tie's team was able to perfectly measure my feet to ensure comfort. Very happy with this service and definitely...
