There is a review below that shares similar experience and opinion about the company. If the chopper can fly then you will be skiing no matter what your experience level is or the terrain they can reach or put you on. They ask for experience level before you fly but then go and put you on green terrain when you indicate advanced + level, and justify it based on, “just going Heli skiing is a great experience” (I’ve done it before, I want to do it to experience great skiing terrain). If you have a delayed day, really re-evaluate if conditions are going to be that great and only re-book a new day if you think conditions will be good. We booked a 6 run package and after 3 very tame mellow runs the temperature went to 2 degrees and the slopes became essentially un-rideable due to sticky snow. I figured the decent thing to do would have been to offer a refund on the last 2 runs of the 6 run package knock it back to a 4 run package but, they just dumped us back up the hill to re-ride the same terrain we had done before just to tick off that we had ridden 6 runs. If you’re a real rider and want to ride decent alpine terrain I don’t think commercial setups like this won’t really cater well for you (especially in average conditions and high avi danger). That all being said, Paige our guide was great and if you do go I would be...
Read moreWe arrived Sunday. It started snowing 2 days before we arrived. Had a trip planned for weds. It snowed ALL week everyday non stop. Awesome. So finally The snow stops and bluebird day the day before we leave. So they took EVERY SINGLE PERSON that was booked all week, crammed them into a couple buses,, went to the LZ and proceeded to ship all 3 groups to the same runs. My group being last. So by the time we got to the run, there were 20 tracks in all the prime spots. They didn't even ask if we wanted to upgrade to the small group/private heli. When I booked I confirmed that we were booked for the advanced runs. Well we ended up getting stuck riding greens with people who had no clue how to ride in powder. It was a mess. Had they explained we were gonna get herded around I would've payed extra for the private heli. The crew was OK. Kind of lame and strict. Ive talked numerous people out of Whislter Heli, and will continue to do so. Find a cat or even better, Backcountry sled/...
Read moreThis is a lifetime experience. Don’t miss it. Staff is very nice and friendly and very professional. They take care about everything for you in order to get you safe and enjoy the experience. I booked 3 rides (~$1100 USD) and I ended up adding other 2 rides while I was on the trip. You can’t get enough. This is a drug …. I will decently go back and bring friends. NOTE: this is not an entry level experience …so you need to be skiing or snowboarding. It is safe but you are on a glacier in the middle of the mountains and you must follow the rules from your guide. Try to be safe and not improvise. Helmet is not required, but I strongly recommend. They provide all the safety equipment and training in case of emergency. Still this is potential risky experience… so keep it in mind for your safety and enjoy also if the others...
