The soup with chicken slices was great although I dont recognize it as a middle eastern dish, although according to the name Lablabi should be a Tunisian chickpeas soup, other than that the falafel was great, just a sample of tehini though was served with it. Service was very welcoming. The place itself does not have the right vibe though Arabic music in the background, it feels like a kiosk that sells some food on the way. Some of the supposeblly Arabic food was just not that. I.e. Phool is served as cold salad instead of a hot dish, pita bread is extremely thin, coffee should be boiled and not from the machine... and so on. They were almost closing on us while we were still sitting, I'd prefer a restaurant will tell me they'll be closing in half an hour, so I'll be able to decide if I'd still wish to...

Excellent things we loved here: The price is very affordable Portion are satisfying Food was tasty Food wasn't oily & was light. I highly recommend the huge 2 persons plate. I think its the best. The mint tea was excellent as well. They are polite & welcoming. Food was served quickly The presentation of Food was excellent

Recommendation to the owner: Whether it's Syrian/ Lebanese or Jordanian food... I hope you will have more menues so that we can visit you more often to try new tastes.

Yarok was conveniently located across the street from the Architecture of Terror museum, and short walk away from Alexanderplatz & Checkpoint Charlie. As others have noted, the diner is low key. Many people were ordering for takeway but there was indoor and outdoor seating. The food is the real attraction. The flavors of the Syrian and Mediterranean cuisine were just fantastic. Serving sizes were generous, and a mixed platter can easily feed two if you're aiming to economize. The food is so good though, you'll be tempted to stuff yourself. Prices are very affordable.
