I would definitely recommend Duna Cruises for 5 stars!!!! Very great experience in Budapest. This is my second day traveling in this city and I had a wonderful night with Duna tonight!
But, what truly impressed me is not only the trip with Duna, but also the lovely people here (staffs) in Duna.
An old gentleman fell down by accident and broke his hand and foot seriously when I tried to buy a ticket at dock 10 yesterday. A lady (one of the staffs in Duna) saw that happened and was really really worried about this old gentleman and was acting really quickly and nicely and helped this gentleman taken care of.
Then she told her team( several more staffs, they are all really nice ) about the situation here and called an ambulance right away.
While we were there waiting for the ambulance, what impressed me a lot was that I saw that the Duna staffs really took care of the old gentleman.
They took their cruise blankets to let the old gentleman lying down nicely and comfortably as the best as they can do, and brought a bottle of water and helped him drink and rest. They helped him took out the phone and called his wife. His wife came by after as well. They also put the blanket on the top of his foot in case of the second injury.
Then they blocked the small way. Two staffs were standing at opposite directions and the old gentleman laid down on the blanket in the middle of the staffs. Therefore, there would not be people walking around in case of the second injury for that old gentleman.
Lastly, ambulance came and took care of that old gentleman.
They kept saying “thank you” to me and my wife, but I think they deserved much more for being so nice and being help.
Thank you all for being nice and truly thank you all for your help. Please keep this love in Duna passing to the next one. You guys made my day.

Read moreThe elegant boat tour was great. I rate this experience purely for the service we have received from 1 worker from the boat.
Prior to the experience, an email reminder was received and stating arriving early will increase the chances to get better seats. Makes sense. Me and my mom arrived 30m earlier and stayed in the line. We got on the boat and chose the window seat. After a while one waitress/worker approached us and asked us if we can change to the seats in the middle row, reason being we are only 2 and we are sitting on the 4-people table. I replied that we'd actually much prefer sitting where we are and we came earlier stayed in the line to get better sitting. We'd rather not change if she doesn't mind. (Please know that apart from us there are other five 4-seats table occupied by only 2 people on the same part of the deck)
Apparently she did not like my answer and from that point on we received no service at all. Our menu was taken away without asking for example. She was asking all tables if anyone needed anything but did not attend to us.
I did not want to ruin the evening and the visit so I didn't claim on the spot. But if you are lucky to have professionals to attend you on the boat it is an experience I...

The reason of not giving them 5 starts is because we felt scammed due to the prices being completely different by what they advertise. We paid almost 70€ when we reserved it prior to arrival and the people who paid at the boat got a hefty discount (they won’t disclose the price if you tell them you paid in advance, but I saw two people paying 16000 HUF which is approximately 40€). And funny enough is that they give you a weird explanation which makes 0 sense, saying that last minute tickets bought there are cheaper because they are last minute 🤦♂️
Anyway, you should definitely do this.

Don’t get me wrong we really enjoyed the cruise. And I didn’t mean that we got scammed, but it doesn’t feel right paying extra if you book in advance (where almost everywhere if you pay in advance you kind of get a reduced price), and then seeing people pay 30€ less without any prior booking it doesn’t feel right. It’s not about the money as it is about the way you guys manage this. At least offer something more, a way to reserve the seat or IDK additional beverages to the people who pay...
