INKA Ubud Spa — Attraction in Pulau Bali

I booked the Divine Flower Bath which is 2 hours long. My masseuse was Dekwi, and she was incredible.

I want to start off by saying that I had to unexpectedly reschedule my first appointment because my flight was delayed. Since I could only inform them within 4 hours of the appointment time, my deposit had to be forfeited, which was understandable. However, the staff were kind enough to let me reschedule and they were so understanding over the phone. I appreciated how thoughtful they were and how prompt they were in replying to my texts and when providing me with alternative dates and times.

When I arrived for my second scheduled appointment, the ladies at the front counter were so friendly and welcoming. They explained the treatment and I got to pick the scent of the massage oil. There is a welcome drink and a cold towel to greet you.

Afterwards, my masseuse, Dekwi, gave me a wonderful foot bath before very kindly offering to carry my heavy bag while bringing me to the treatment room. She has excellent people skills and was a pleasure to talk to.

Her massage was firm yet gentle, and I found her technique to be really great. She worked out all the tension in my body before proceeding to apply the scrub. Afterwards, she wrapped me up in the banana leaf, and made me laugh by joking that I am going to become the banana after the body wrap. The flower bath followed, then a shower, then finally the express facial with Dermalogica products. After the treatment, I got to choose which flavour of tea I wanted, and it was accompanied by a small cookie.

All in all, the entire experience from start to end was wonderful. I thought Dekwi was so professional and her skills were amazing. If you can, please request for her.

If you’re looking for a luxurious spa experience, Inka Spa is absolutely the place to go. From the stunning interior design to the exceptional customer service, I was impressed from the start.

On my first visit, I had the "Deep Cleaning and Detox Facial" along with a hair treatment. The facial therapist had such a calming, lovely energy that I left feeling blissful and zen. However, I was there for a deep clean due to some hormonal acne on my jawline, and unfortunately, this area was missed during the treatment. I didn’t mention it at the time, thinking perhaps there wasn’t much to clean, but when I got home, I realized there was quite a bit left to address on my jawline.

As for the hair treatment, while my hair felt great afterward, the therapist seemed a bit off that day, and the massage portion of the treatment, which I usually love, was a bit repetitive and not as relaxing as I had hoped for, especially considering the price.

When I reached out to Inka Spa to share my feedback, I was blown away by their response. They immediately thanked me and offered a complimentary massage to make up for the experience.

On my return, I had the most incredible massage! The therapist was amazing, and the owner even came out afterward to personally apologize and thank me for my feedback. This level of care and attention to customer satisfaction truly sets them apart.

I am absolutely shocked and devastated after my visit to Inka Hair Salon today. A few days ago, I went in for a quick hair wash and had a lovely experience, so I decided to return for their most expensive hair loss treatment. That turned out to be a huge mistake.

The girl who worked on my hair today was completely distracted, constantly looking out the window while handling my hair. She pulled so hard that my scalp is now sore and throbbing. I could literally feel chunks of my hair being ripped out. For a salon offering hair loss treatments, the lack of care and technique is beyond comprehension.

This was especially upsetting for me because I’ve struggled with alopecia several times in the past, and having my hair pulled so aggressively is an extremely sensitive and emotional issue.

When it came time to brush my hair, she brushed straight from the roots down, snagging a massive tangle and yanking the brush through until hair was torn out. I am in pain, my scalp is irritated, and I’ve lost more hair in one session than I have in months.

I’m giving one star only because the shoulder massage was nice, but otherwise, this experience was traumatic. I went in to help my hair loss, not to have more of my hair ripped out. The level of negligence and rough handling is unacceptable.
