I might have passed the front door many, many times without realising that there would be such a popular eatery located here. On the recommendation of a friend I chance to grab a bite on a busy, wet Saturday in the city centre. Although very busy we managed to grab the only available table inside. There's not too much on the menu BUT what's on offer sounds great. As we were grabbing a quick bite we opted to have the beef potato cakes with an Americano for me & a pot of tea for himself. Having a look around there's a mixture of contents along with booklets detailing the story of their potato cakes, fresh oranges for juice, numerous knitted tea cosys and many labels hanging around with written notes/ thoughts from previous customers. Each order is cooked fresh & from what passed our table looked really good. Our order came quickly & was hot and smelled/ tasted delicious. The relish was a nice addition & also available for purchase. We spoke with most of the staff & found them to be friendly and knowledgeable and more than happy to give advice on the menu, its ingredients. It's nice to see a small business sourcing their stock from local suppliers. We hope to visit again to try either the breakfast...

I never leave negative reviews, but the service at this place was so disappointing. We got there and were told to sit anywhere as they weren’t that busy, so my friend and I sat down. After about 15 minutes the waitress came to collect our drink order (they don’t have black tea BTW) and the drinks took about another 10 minutes to arrive (not awful), then the waitress hurried away to help the (who I believe to be) owner go through inventory to make a shopping list, after about 30 minutes we politely asked if we could place our order for food. After about 45 minutes of waiting and at least 3 other tables had come and gone, we had to once again interrupt the owner, chef and waitress talking in the corner to ask how long it would be till our food was ready… turns out the waitress never put in the order. I get that this happens and it wouldn’t have been to big an issue, but they didn’t even apologize and the food was such a small portion and wasn’t even that good. Overall, it was a cute atmosphere but the service sucked and it was...

As it’s my first time visiting Dublin with friends, I was really excited to try an Irish breakfast and had been looking forward to this cafe. The breakfast was nice, but unfortunately, the service at the end left me disappointed. We ordered a Bailey's cheesecake for dessert, but what we received was clearly Banoffee pie—it even had a banana on it!

When we pointed this out, the staff member who said he made the dessert insisted it was a Bailey's cheesecake. I even asked again, highlighting the banana, and he replied that he had added it as an extra! I would have much preferred honesty and for them to let us know they were out of cheesecake, rather than receiving a completely different dessert.

To add to the frustration, when the staff member collected the dish, he made a comment asking if we enjoyed the "cheesecake or Banoffee," followed by saying he was joking. This experience was disappointing, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as it left a negative impression on what could have been a...

Great place for a traditional Irish breakfast and a delicious Guinness. My friend and I stopped by for a meal during our leg in Dublin and we had a fantastic experience. We sat inside, which was tinged with green lighting. Because Taylor Swift was coming to town for her show in Dublin, the bar was playing only her songs (which was an extra treat for me). We both ordered the Irish breakfast and a Guinness — probably the best Guinness I’ve ever had. Service was on-point. Very friendly and helpful staff. I agree with some of the reviewers that this place does seem a bit more of a touristy restaurant than a local spot. They even give you your tap water in a Jameson bottle. All in all, I highly recommend stopping by this charming restaurant for a pint or a great Irish meal.
