Massage chair section - IMAI MAMORU Everyone is nice except IMAI MAMORU Terrible staff at BicCamera NishiShinjuku! This is not the first time he was rude. The first time he refused to let me try the Panasonic Massage Chair. It was on a different day. I let that go. Today, when I asked if I can try the other chair, he said “No, if you’re not going to buy you can’t try” “You came here before already. So many people want to try” There were no people!! Of course I will try the chair many times before I buy. There are so many options! And of course it’s not my first time in BicCamera! I have a lot of free time! Is that unusual for you? I have always loved shopping at this particular branch because all the staff I had interacted with before helped me a lot. I even recommended this branch to all my Expat friends, even though we are closer to the Akasaka Branch. All of my appliances came from this branch. And before I bought anything here, I always took my time. It was never a problem. In fact, the staff who helped me with everything were very happy to explain and accommodate me. For example, one of them even gave me free shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment sachets (Dyson airwrap section) even though I wasn’t planning on buying on that day. Before that, I had tried the airwrap many times. I bought it after a few months and after going there to try so many times. I bought all my appliances here and I always felt comfortable shopping. But Imai was refusing to let me try and was being rude. He even asked me weird questions, “Do you live here?” Do you have a business?” Like do you think I can’t afford that massage chair? LOL After I called him out for being rude he suddenly said, “I don’t understand English.” He said that after speaking English. Great try at escaping.

Bic Camera is one of Japan's longest-running electronics retailers when it comes to all manner of appliances, cameras, TVs, sound systems, etc. But they're also really great when it comes to video games, consoles, accessories, and games/anime-adjacent goods like plastic model kits, etc., like this ones pictured here. Their prices are pretty comparable to rival chains like Yodobashi Camera, so unless you have a points card with one or the other, there's no specific advantage to one over the other. I have been a pretty loyal customer of Yodobashi Camera for about 20 years, but whenever Bic Camera is more convenient for me location-wise (such as today when I didn't feel like walking an extra 10 minutes in the summer heat) it's totally fine. It's actually pretty refreshing to know there's another comprehensively stocked retailer like Bic Camera (and Sofmap for that matter) to fall back on when the need hits. This location has 4 or 5 floors of goods separated by categories, too, so chances are they have what you need.

They sell everything. It's like a department store but focus more in electronic stuff and no shoes, cloth and bags, etc, but you can find pretty much everything else. Wife was there to purchase health related product and cosmetic. Foreigner with passport get tax free and 7% with electronic and 5% with drug and cosmetic. Oh, BE AWARE...not all electronics are cheaper then US...compare before you buy...I was looking for lent protector for my Sony Action Cam, I can get it from EBay for 22 and here, it's like 3010 yen...

The camera store here is really a place to go If you ask the staff, they are willing to open the cabnets and allow you to test the lens instore. The staff are really friendly but most cannot speak english. They have Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax etc instore and even the latest models. Accessories from tripods to color gels and backdrops are sold here and they even have a printing station inside. If you are planning on a purchase, bring your passport as tax refunds are possible (as of my time).
