I went there yesterday (16 Dec 2018 - Sunday, around 10am) with a few friends (total 4 of us), the interior decos are nice and we love the ambience. We thought the dining experience would be pleasant. We ordered some drinks and also a few mains from the brunch menu. Upon order, we were told we need to wait for 30min as the chef is busy with so many orders. We thought that it was ok, so we patiently waited. After a total wait of 35min, we were updated by one of the waitress that we have to wait for another 30min for the food. This somehow made us not happy as we're initially told that 30min was the total waiting time, and now it's increased to a total 1hour time of waiting for our food to be served.
So we continued waiting for another 45min (we did check with them on/off), and finally after the total wait of 1hr15min, we were told that we have to wait for another 30-45min for our food to be served as the chef couldn't cope with the order.
This is ridiculous. What kind of meal service is this? If you cannot cope with so many customers, you shouldn't have served so many tables/customers at the first place! Please prioritise your time and customer management. I am very disappointed with the experience...
Read moreMildly disappointing is what I would say about this cafe that could have been so much better than what it is now. The heritage themed interior design of this place is immaticulate. The latte is quite good, as the milk was frothhed quite nicely and is smooth and creamy. The orange juice that came with the breakfast set was freshly pressed and is naturally sweet(?). The food, however was a bit of a disappointment. The menu was almost exclusively western, which was disappointing given that this cafe was in a heritage building IN MELAKA. I would have expected at least a Hainan chicken chop, kopi-O or nyonya laksa to be served! We ended up ordering pizza and the breakfast set, which came really late. The pizza and breakfast set was just alright. I could have gotten something better in KL for the same...
Read moreWe stumbled into this café hoping to escape the blazing heat after 30 minutes of becoming grilled satay along Jonker Walk. The promise of their “famous” iced latte and iced kopi lured us in. What we didn’t realize was that this café runs on a one-man show—one heroic staff playing the role of cashier, barista, waiter, and dishwasher all at once. Oscar-worthy performance, truly.
That’s when we knew... we might just grow old waiting. And lo and behold, 45 minutes later, our drinks finally made their red-carpet entrance.
If you’re in no rush, have 99 problems but heatstroke isn’t one, and enjoy watching the slow art of coffee-making, this might just be your kind of place. But if you're parched, melting, and moments away from hallucinating ice cubes—trust me, walk (or crawl) to...
