A gem of a find in this locality. My family and I just loved it. Positives 1. Location. It is just a street away from Jonker and within a skip away, you will find plenty of eateries and sight seeing locations. 2. Hotel is in a >100 years old building. It has been renovated to hold 24 rooms but the set up of the room do give the traditional vibes. 3. Clean. The room does not have any funky smell and dust levels are pretty low - have not had an sensitive outburst in my stay here. Albeit some stain marks on the bed sheets and pillow cover, the sheets are clean. 4. Pillow is way better compared to the higher star-ed hotels. 5. Bathroom is functional with0 strong water flow and hot water. The hot water shower provided great relief after a day of walking. 6. Service staff was absolutely fantastic. Maggie and Wendy were super friendly. Kudos to them both 👍🏻 7. Complimentary self parking at the back of the hotel. The gates are locked at day end and the space will be able to fit 4 cars comfortably at one go. 8. Full amenities are provided for the price one pays. This includes shower gel, shampoo, soap, 3-in-1 coffee, bottled water, clean towels, cups & sauces, teaspoons and a portable kettle. Air conditioning in the room was fully functional and pretty cold albeit a bit noisy. This will be all that you will hear as the noisy Heeren and Jonker street will not be a bother at all. There was obviously some negatives but not show stoppers for me. We found some tiny ants in the room. The first night, our room's electricity went off suddenly. Called the front desk and was immediately remediated. The positives definitely outweighs the negatives hence my 5 star rating. Will most definitely be back in the near future.

The room itself is pretty good with a working desk and windows. It was nothing to say if they didn't give us a room of an adjoining/connecting room. As the result, there was a Chinese group coming on the next day, they got up early and woke us up as we could hear their voice quite clearly from ours. Then, another thing is that they came to clean on our second day without our request. I didnt know they would come as it didn't mention while we did the check-in. We realized the change in the new towels so we knew someone had come. We worried that they might already throw something looked like rubbish but actually not. If we had known someone coming, I wouldn't leave my wallet as well as we would arrange the room nicely.

A bit down run hotel, can hear like air pressure sound 'kong long' whole day n night (if u can hear from video). At 11 plus chair dragging sound, ask customer service, he said on top of our room is water tank,Impossible n no one complained before. Pillow only 2 and like use for decades, need to fold into two to sleep. Customer service is very polite but needs improvement of training No lift, for those unable climb ask for L1 but should be quite noisy cause sound proof not good, a lot of ppl walking around. Only benefits are location, but if you drive, you will not want to drive out cause a lot of cars are coming in Jonker Street. The carpark may be a hazard.

Stayed there for a couple of night visiting the city, and during a long weekend that most of the places were very pricey and fully booked. This place is very central and 5 minutes walk from all the main things there are to do and see in Melaka. ||||The rooms are spacious, and they are in general clean. We did not try the breakfast so cannot really comment on that. The staff are so polite and good that is amazing! They front desk speaks very good English and in general they try their best to accommodate your needs. They also offer you a parking space (private); however, it can accommodates tops 4 cars in total so better check first if they have the capacity to do so. ||||The things that need improvement are:||1. they offer cleaning services only if you let them know and before 1400. The problem is that they call you at 900 in the morning to check if you want your room to be cleaned - waking you up. ||2. the corridors do become very noisy in the morning - again not allowing the people want to sleep, to lie in for as long as they want. ||3. the cleaning especially for the bathrooms can be a bit more thorough - like wash the shower curtains, make sure all plumbing is unclogged etc. ||4. The rooms need a bit of an upgrade/love as well, the fridge makes noises and the window blinds are a bit more wobbly (in the room we were in) that they are supposed to be, missing a few pieces etc. The TV was not working and even though we asked to be looked at, it was never done||||All in all a good place to try for a reasonable price and if they can do something about a few bit and bobs it can be...

Booked a room on 22 Aug and today 11 Sept I received a call informed me that all the room is "fully booked" and want to cancel my booking (this is 4 days before actual stay date, 15 Sept). They have the audacity to offer me another room which is a downgrade from actual booking while remaining same price (3 single bed to 2 single bed + 1 "free" mattress). After complaint they did offer "20% off" but still cancelling one booking due to "fulling booked" wasn't justified and it sounds silly. The way the management handle the situation is very bad as well. Hey management team, if you are reading this...please improve your customer service! Maybe this is just an unfortunate event for me but whoever trying to book a room here, you have been warned!!! They can cancel your booking anytime. Don't ever think you can just cancel customer booking anytime you want and bully us consumer. More power for us, the consumer! Would like to give 0 star but due to it is not an option, have to...
