Wandering around this area and had a look on TA, found this and headed straight there. Opening hours on website etc. are a bit dodgy as it said it opened at 8.30 but they were only just arriving as we turned up a bit after ten. Anyway, waiter was incredibly helpful and did tell us repeatedly that things were going to be slow as the kitchen was just opening up. Things were slow, but they were worth the wait. Coffees and food were all excellent. I chose a nasi lemak whilst my partner went with a breakfast sandwich and both were very good. Atmosphere and decor were great. As Victorian's I felt like this was very much a 'Melbourne style' type of cafe. Location is great right near the Central market and China town. Also worth noting that there were a number of vegetarian, vegan and GF options on the menu.

Visiting Jonkers over the weekend my fancy mom didn’t want to eat at a place with no air con and we passed by this fancy cafe which had the nyonya food. Personally when I see too many white people at an Asian restaurant I immediately think the food will be trash. True Asians will eat at a not so clean place and pop a squat cuz the food is so delicious and cheap. We ordered a variety of food Tom yum soup, pineapple fried rice which was bland, laksa and nyonya pizza which was the best out of everything. They have free WiFi which the password is ilovepizza and it costs 1rm for a glass of water. If you want some place fancy come here but if you want some local local food, find another spot on the strip. Hope this was helpful. @ninjaxfang

Think: cafe that serves way too much food for the name. Low quality food, dirty toilets, small portions. The place has a good location but is just a perfect proof of lazy management and zero initiative. The food was probably the worse we had so far in town. Like most food throughout this region it’s frozen, so that we’re clear on the level of gastronomy described. Decently presented , lacking taste and originality. Very pricy for what it is. Reviewing food is very relative. As a family we eat out 90%of our time and enjoy gastronomic places, though fresh food well prepared will always earn top stars from us. This is unfortunately not the case of the geographers cafe.

This is a great spot to stop, rest and eat while exploring around Melaka. The food options for vegetarians are especially impressive, I almost was overwhelmed by the choices I had. Prices are what you’d expect for a place like this. I really liked that the seating was both inside and outside (covered but open). On a hot day sitting in the shade with the breeze from the street coming in was refreshing. Only issue I had was that my food was served at least 5-10 minutes before my companions. However, this seems to be a regular occurrence throughout this part of the world so we weren’t too surprised.

We stumbled across this restaurant which was quite busy, luckily we managed to find a table. They have a really good selection of food, from Pizza to Laksa. That’s exactly what we ordered. It was delicious. The Calamansi and sour plum juice was huge and it really hit the spot. Having never tried the Asam version of Laksa I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. The pizza had a thin crust. The service was great, the food came out together and was steaming hot when it was delivered. This is a great place for a casual meal with excellent service and good value. We paid RM67 total.
