This was the worst tour ever! The crew left me alone in the water in Santa Maria bay for almost an hour. They had no idea that I was not on the boat when they began to return to the marina. First, the first mate that was supposed to being leading the tour did not carry a dive flag/ any other device that would distinguish him as a leader of the group. Therefore, it wasn’t possible to follow his lead while snorkeling in the bay. Everyone in the bay, even those from other tour groups, wore the same life jackets & many spoke English. During the snorkel, I continuously checked around. I wasn’t able to locate the guide in the group of approximately 30 snorkelers from our boat as he had nothing to distinguish him from the other snorkelers. After 30 min of snorkeling, I looked up and out of the water toward the ECO-CAT. I had not heard any horns to notify the snorkelers that the boat was leaving. Nevertheless, the ECO-CAT was leaving the bay, while I was still in the water next to the reef. I immediately performed the distressed swimmer/diver hand signals & yelled, but the ECO-CAT did not stop. Alarmed, I rapidly swam to the nearest vessel, a boat and tour operated by Cabo Adventures. I explained to the crew of CA that I had been left behind by the ECO-CAT. The CA crew was surprised, extremely concerned & very sympathetic. They offered me water & asked me to come aboard their boat. The captain of the CA boat made 3 unsuccessful attempts to contact the captain of the ECO-CAT. The CA crew then called the Cabo San Lucas marina. The marina reported that the ECO-CAT didn’t answer their call either. The CA crew assured me that they would take me back to the marina in Cabo San Lucas when their tour was done. By this time, I had been in the water for quite some time w/o a wet suit so I was shivering. After 20 minutes, I saw the ECO-CAT returning to the bay. I thanked the CA crew & swam as fast as I could toward the ECO-CAT. When I reached the ECO-CAT I was directed to the front of the boat where the first mate was reaching for my fins. The ECO-CAT crew did not lower the ladder so that I could get on the boat. Instead the first mate “helped” me up on the boat by pulling me up against the rough boat side. In the process, I was scrapped & bruised on my shins, stomach, & hands. The first mate almost immediately began to berate me loudly, saying: “What is wrong with you girl? What’s your problem?” I was shocked by his roughness, lack of concern for my safety (eg; hypothermia, dehydration), & personal attacks as well as the failure to acknowledge, much less apologize for, the gross negligence demonstrated by the ECO-CAT crew. I was hungry & thirsty after being in the water for so long. However, the crew had already put away the food & I wasn’t offered anything to eat/drink; though, 2 crewmembers came by to offer tequila shots to people dancing on the edge of the deck. However, they specifically ignored me and whispered to each other, not realizing that I understand and speak Spanish. Even some of the guests noticed their strange behavior toward me, asking me why they were behaving that way. At the end of the trip, a rude crewmember walked around the boat with a tip jar, aggressively demanding tips. When he requested a tip from me, I informed him that I would not be tipping for the service as I was left in the bay & then denied food & water. He said: “It doesn’t matter, you can tip anyway”. Exiting the boat, a 3rd crewmember asked me what had happened. He gave me a hug & apologized, but each time he hugged me he also kissed my neck. It made me feel very uncomfortable. It felt extremely inappropriate. After exiting, I went to the restaurant to speak to the manager that had taken our payment and the supposed manager of the boat. I informed both of these men, repeatedly, that I wanted a refund, which wasn't given. In fact no one from the company has even attempted to contact me despite multiple...

If you read nothing else, read that my guy who is a rescue diver, had to help two people back on board the boat; one guy was flailing and screaming in agony (leg cramps) while a crew member looked on and yelled at the guy for using the left stair case instead of the right one. Agonized screams need no translation. The second guy was exhausted and could not make it onto the stairs. Together, we carried him on and waited until everyone was on board while the crew did NOTHING.
1 - They had us at the dock and anchored, sitting in the sun, for 45 minutes on the catamaran without an explanation. 2 - We motored the whole way out to the snorkel area listening to the same 5 songs repeatedly. 3 - They handed out snorkel masks (no fins) without helping the newbies. 4 - I literally only had time to adjust the fit of my mom's mask and they were already calling everyone back onto the boat. I hadn't waited in any line, we brought our own gear. 10 minutes of snorkel time, TOPS. 5- The food was horrendous, despite how hungry we all were. It was buffet style. My guy was denied a second hamburger, no cheese. Hot dogs with ketchup only. All the foods (refried beans, boiled plain spaghetti, white rice, bland shredded pork, and shredded chicken in tomato sauce), were mixed into the other trays since they were not cleaning the serving spoons in between; no attempt at making anything look sanitary. 6- The crew stopped motoring the boat in the middle of the ocean to tell us that we needed to tip $20 US each to all the crew. Then they came around and literally yelled at me for not tipping at all, BECAUSE --- 7 - My mom FELL off of one of the stairs on the boat onto her back and rather than come and make sure she was alright, they were asking me FOR TIPS! They never even offered to help her up! The second passenger who we had helped on board was the one to beg for a few pieces of ice for her back which the crew grudgingly gave him and refused to give us any more. I get that this is a personal experience, but if you know my mom, you know that she was the first one up dancing and encouraging all the passengers to smile and have a great time. Also, she wasn't drinking, it was purely an accident. 8 - I concur with the first review. The staff was very unfriendly, yelled, and only offered water twice. The enjoyable things about the tour was only the pleasurable feeling of being on a boat, and the beauty of Mexico.

Read moreExcellent experience. Worth every penny. A few notes of caution to anyone doing this excursion: Bring Sun Screen - although there are places for shade on the boat. Bring a light Jacket - once you get out to the pacific side, it’s pretty windy. Wear non-slip shoes - you are on a boat. Fiberglass tends to be slippery. ( 3 people slipped and fell ) no injuries, however, a vacationer took a bath in enchilada sauce
The captain and crew were exceptionally attentive to everyone on the boat. I mean, kudos. They were in full control over everything. Never concerned about safety at all. Also never allowed my drink to be empty.
Food was served on the boat however, I can’t speak of it because I did not eat or look at their setup but people did seem to be enjoying it.
If you are a smoker, the have a smoking area on the back of the boat.
I would also caution anyone to just be aware of yourself and surroundings. You are going on a moving vessel into the Pacific and the boat. One of the passengers dropped his phone and it slipped through a gap on the boat and became fish food. Hold on to your belongings.
Overall, one of the best experiences we had in Cabo was this excursion. The views are spectacular and the staff made it very memorable. PS. They have photographers on the boat and will offer to sell you the pics. (Well worth the price). They will take photos while you are not looking too so you will see pictures that you totally were not expecting. I opted to purchase every photo the took of me and my wife. Lastly, bring...
